    Of course, Kalou is ****. Ameobi would have a 1 in 3 record from the bench if only Chelsea were to realise his potential. More fool them <doh>

    What exactly do you think makes Shola a good player? Other than goals he doesn't offer much, and he doesn't really offer many goals

    Well he offers more goals than Kalinic and Kalou put together and he does his job when needed. If I could critisize Ameobi, it would be that we rely on him too much ... if we had the luxury of keeping him as solely a back-up player, I doubt we'd see so much animosity toward him. I'd agree with all who say he's not good enough for the first team but he still does a decent job when he comes in, he just comes in too much .... if you get what I mean .... he's good in short spells and no one does that better than Shola...

    Are you sure you mean Kalou? He scored 4 goals more than Ameobi last season, and played fewer minutes (I'm pretty certain). As for Kalinic, he played 10 games less (again a fair few from sub) and only scored a goal less. I agree with Shola being back-up and understand, but ideally he shouldn't even be that

    Right well I have only just re-read my article again and there seems to be a bit of debate about Shola. It was an article which was a bit light heartened i.e. the 2:3. (Rob Lee, great shout whoever that was).

    In terms of how the article has turned out I think that Shola is in the squad because of the lack of strikers. I would keep him for back up at the moment but if we get another 2/3 quality strikers in then he has to go in my opinion.

    I have always thought that Shola was a rather expensive luxuary, said it before and will say it again why on earth are we holding on to such a poor player, he is at best Championship and is well past his sell past date, the French would have had him cooked and served with a red wine jus by now.

    I think people on this board are extremely harsh on Shola. He's a bit ****, but as backup he's OK. Heres a question for you: which player that is better than Shola would be willing to come to us and sit on the bench all season???

    well now we have Ba with his 1 in 2 ratio (of goals but more importantly vowels) i can't see that we need him

    if anything, his unneccesary vowels on the opposition are detrimental to his game, he's consonantly doing it too <whistle>
