I don't mean this as much of a criticism, but 28 goals in 25 goalscoring matches tells a story. What happened to Kane scoring hat-tricks or even braces? I'm sure he got about 7 hat-tricks in one season. Now we barely create anything for him.
Part of it comes from him dropping deeper, which is why Sonny was so prolific last season The rest comes from Conte having difficulty understanding the ball can be passed in a direction known as "forwards"
That was my point. Our style of play, system and formation are all ****e. We don't create anything, can't keep possession and don't protect the defence. The personnel don't work and we're basically not good at anything, barring maybe finishing. Our finishing ironically let us down v Brentford in the first half, though.
He has been paid a LOT of money by Citeh to prevent the Pep the messiah + Haaland Narrative (TM) being utterly destroyed. But even then, Kane goals, like nature, finds a way.
Leaving aside the money, he must see it as something of a no-lose scenario. Even if it goes badly wrong he'll probably have plenty of opportunities for other jobs. Get us back in a decent position and/or win a trophy and he'll look like a genius.
It probably is the challenge too, with each passing year we go barren, there’ll be a manager wanting to be “the one”. I’d be quite excited to see Kane (and Son) under Slot though should the former stay and latter arrive, might go back to getting those hattricks you spoke of.
Top sportspeople and managers always believe they are the one to succeed when others haven’t. That’s the mentality. They couldn’t do their jobs if they didn’t have that.

He’s just different gravy. Probably the best I’ve ever seen in my years at Spurs tbh, Modric used to hold that title but in terms of in a Spurs shirt, I don’t think anyone tops Harry now.
