I had a bet with a member of my darts team. Initially for £10. I said that I couldn't afford that, but that he was 100% wrong. He stated that Dirk Kuyt had never been in the same team as Suarez! I stated that Suarez was pivotal when Dirk Kuyt scored the easiest OT hat-trick ever. He had no idea. He's a Derby fan. He had been drinking far longer than me. Obviously. I insisted that he was wrong and that it was a crazy bet. I knew I was right, etc. But he was so insistent he upped the bet to £50! I took the bet, but again said he shouldn't do it (you've no idea how long i protested!). Eventually one of the locals showed him You Tube videos of the Kuyt hat-trick. He said he'd pay me the money (I believe him!), but I said no. The Landlord (tw@!) said I need to be more graceful in victory! He's a Chelsea fan! 'da ****!!! The guy in question modulated the bet to a pint but his demeanour, and the landlord's (****!), said different, I said 'forget it!*' and pissed off!

Was I being a tw@, or do I deserve their ire?

1 was drunk and the other was a Chelsea fan, that's all that needs to be said.
 
A few years back a lad I was working with heard the radio playing the Bangles(Eternal Flame)and said something along the lines "the lead singer used to be fit, I'd have banged her", so I said yeah Sussanah Hoffs she was fit back then.

He then said that wasnt the girls name and came up with some other name, I disagreed so he said " ok I bet you £100 and before you shake my hand on it I'm warning you I'll want it when I win"
I told him he was wrong but in front of the other lads at break he goaded me into it.

When he finally accepted after checking up that he'd lost he never said anything and neither did I, but on payday he came into were I was working and threw a ton at me and said "I always pay my bets", I said I never asked for it and he could shove it and we had to be dragged apart after throwing bombs at eachother.<laugh>

He wouldn't take it back so I had no choice but to take it.<whistle>

Chelsea fans always insist they are right and for the most part know **** all about anything. SHould have taken his money, kicked him in the balls and then whilst on the floor tipped his pint over him.

Or you could just do what you did and be nice about it. lol

PS... You should have taken the money. I could understand it if it was someone you knew!

I once played pool with a scottish guy. We did double or quits starting at a tenner. I took him for 160 quid and he started crying about how he had kids and needed the money. I took his money and never talked to the guy again. If he had had me for that money, he would have insisted. Treat people as they would treat you I say.

I play alot of tournament poker but thats my lot. I do it for the love of it and i dont drink so its fair enough. Plus often make a few extra grand a month so its not bad.
 
Lee is a slag who slags us off on every other teams board with every post he does. If he wants to be able to continue to post on here he needs to smarten up

Smart and Lee dont go together in the same sentence though, what should I call myself..............think of something...................needs to be good...............................inspiring even.................................................

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't noticed him. If he continues to just be abusive he will be banned.
