Definitely made a meal out of it, but like eatcustard says almost every other player would have done the same. But then every Man Utd player that did the same would be accused of diving for a good few months afterwards. Not sure about clear goalscoring opportunity tho, the direction Suarez and Richardson were moving in meant that if there was no contact between the two then Richardson would still have been between Suarez and the goal with a tight angle on the shot. For me it was a stick on foul. Carroll nudges Ferdinand just enough to make sure the ball goes an inch or two above his head. If there was no contact then Richardson would have had a chance to flick the ball away. It probably wouldn't have been given outside the box, but then the nudge wouldn't have made as much difference outside the box. Ball to hand imo - hands were up protecting his face and Richardson hammered it straight at him.
nevermind the game here What about his handball in the world cup, the cheating midget twat!!!!!!!!! It wouldnt have been so bad if when they won he didnt run around like heh ad scored the winner, the dirty cheatnig bastard. He should have been banned for a year for that, cocaine selling ****
One other thing from the game - Suarez should definitely have been booked for card waving. Once again the "respect" campaign falls flat at the first hurdle...
As i said at the time i think Suarez did what he had to do and he was punished accordingly in the world cup. The celebrations were a bit out of order but his side were a kick from going out. I would be far more concerned about the vampirism he was showing a few months back
I don't get what the big outrage from other fans is all about? If it had happened to Rooney when playing a different team i couldn't give a ****.
Not outrage, but it's the same story again and again. FA says we will clamp down on disrespect, card waving, crowding the ref etc etc. But it never happens in reality. And as a result it will just get worse as the season goes on, until a really controversial incident happens.
So Suarez didnt perform the worst cheat of all time in the recent world cup then???? Blind bastard, it was a disgrace!! No club with a shred of decency would have signed him after that, of course liverpool have very few morals, so it was expected
Its not the worst cheat of all time. If he had gotten away with it it would hae been the worst cheat of all time. Others like the "hand of god" were given no punishment and the goal stood. It isnt suarez's fault Gyan missed.
I thought it was disgusting what he did at the world cup. Granted, like berb said most players would have done it. however what most players would not have done, is afterwards run around in front of the cameras like you scored the winner, awful sportmanship, fits the liverpool mould alright
and what makes it all worse is that he was my captain in my fantasy team yesterday, the stupid drug dealer missed a pen
Comas - i am not interested in your bitterness, i suggest you go and have a nice friendly chat with KPR
I think Suarez made the most of the contact but it was a definite penalty, the card waving thing is not acceptable and I think he is the kind of player that will change with time in the Prem and cut that kind of think out of his game.
I think he'll need to change if he's to be a huge success - Ronaldo, Nani and plenty of other talented players only really made the grade after they stopped spending all their time worrying about what the ref did and more time concentrating on their own game. So personally I hope he stays just the way he is
