You're better than that Joe. Isolating a single line from a post to exaggerate a point is low rent tabloid tactics.
Nooooo, I'm being serious. This isn't a situation where I'm telling myself something I don't even believe. I mean check out this picture from the first time we wore it at the FA Cup Final in 2010: please log in to view this image How can you not love it? It's simple, stylish, classy, the colour scheme is fantastic and it looks good.
There's only one reason why I dislike that shirt just as there's only one reason why I like our new shirts; the badge on display. For what it's worth, there has been plenty of sniping on here which I can and do easily ignore (as it is becoming quite prevalent on the board). I find it hard to ignore unjustified accusations of racism though. Nothing that has been said on this thread is racist and I would suggest that an apology is in order.
Yeah, I wouldn't say that was pink. Which is good because I was having trouble remembering you guys playing in pink. However I also wouldn't say it was stylish or classy, because it's a football shirt. Personally, I think it's a bit of a meh, not awful, but not memorable. At least you din't look like France wearing it.
Well to be fair the goalie kit was bright magenta, but then goalkeeper kits are often quite 'out there'. And I mean stylish and classy by football shirt standards, of course it's still a football shirt so in absolute terms it's not that classy. It may not be memorable (though it stuck in my memory, thought that could be because I really liked it), but if that is so, then neither is your away kit for next season.
None is we're alive when the actually played in pink, but I was referring to the away kit a few years back. In this link it seems more brown/gold than pink though - but at the time they were taunted...bless.. http://www.vintagefootballshirts.com/product-list.php?Retro_Pourtsmouth_Shirts-pg1-cid94.html
