These old snippets from It's The Hope I Cant Stand include some real gems. Nic Wiseman, who was the co-editor, has now scanned a whole series of them and I will post them at Salut! from time to time.

This one about SAFC fans being peed on from a height at Everton on the Jimmy Hill night when we were relegated back in 1977 - http://salutsunderland.com/2011/06/the-ithics-files-3-when-everton-rained-on-our-parade/ - is one of Nic's favourites and is a cracking read. It even inspired an Evertonian to write in and apologise on behalf of fellow supporters and say the same thing had happened to them at Old Trafford. Must be a Lancashire tradition.
