I didn't see the Drogba interview. I heard him say he had decided on his future but never heard him name a club. He may have decided that his future was going to be at another club. He was never going to struggle for offers, he's a proven PL goal scorer.
I reckon he'll be like Pedro. Clearly a good player but will take season to get his head round it all.
Personally given the choice Lukaku would have preferred to rejoin Chelsea alas we were tardy in putting in an offer which gave his greedy agent advance his own self interests. So everybody's got what they wanted now let the battle rage.
And? We're not competing with Real (baring C.L where we have never drawn them) so that doesn't really matter. They have sold Robben, Ozil, Sneijder over the years and they haven't done too bad elsewhere. Likewise Barca who sold Fabregas, Sanchez and Ibrahimovic. Fact is, Real in particular, stock pile world class footballers and then when the next 'toy' comes along they have to make room. They let James go on loan FFS! Not getting in Real's starting 11 is no big shame.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-to-chelsea-can-he-really-replace-diego-costa Pretty fair summary of Morata. His ability to link with others, provide assists, his ability on the ball and running the channels makes for good reading for Chelsea fans. His age means he should only get better, especially when playing every week. Costa was great but had a poor second season and average end to last season. Not ideal that your main striker downs tools so frequently and liable to gets bans/suspensions. I don't think Costa is as irreplaceable as some would like to believe.
I should point out that this also applies to Danilo. If he's that good, why are Real selling after two years? Both City and Chelsea should save your money and not buy him. Then again, go for it!!
He's going to City apparently. Just because it didn't work out at Real doesn't mean it won't work out elsewhere, and it also doesn't mean he isn't a good player. I must admit that I haven't seen a lot of him though.
I don't think there was ever an interest from Chelsea in Aubameyang, despite what Ginger Marks was peddling off on here. Dortmund know they're not getting big money for him, he'll be touted around for £40m next summer when he's 29 years old. Aguero was impossible, not a chance any top team in this country are getting him. I refuse to accept that we were the club who Rom had agreed to join, only for us to then spend the next 6 weeks chasing Morata. He was Conte's first choice for sure. That makes no difference on here, given that the Chelsea lot didn't really want him. What we have to remember in all of this, is that we have a forward line of Martial, Rashford and Lukaku with the probability of Zlatan when he's fit as well and the likely arrival of Griezmann in 2018. Would I take that over Batshuayi, Morata, Hazard, Pedro and Remy? Absolutely.
An injured and aging Ibrahimovic and Griezmann who you haven't signed. Not sure you can count them as yet!! Especially for the season coming. If your forward 3 is Martial, Rashford and Lukaku against Pedro/William, Hazard, Morata. Then I know who I'd rather have....I'll give you a hint, its the players with multiple league titles between them as opposed to the players with none.
Depends which Hazard you get really doesn't it, I can't imagine that forward line being very productive if he fancies another crack at relegation.
Never were candidates for relegation really it was only Jose doing what he does best by rubbing everybody up the wrong way.
Aww diddums, poor professional athletes being told they were not earning their wages. Imagine if Fergie and Roy Keane were there, ****houses like Hazard and Fabregas would have cried off sick and tried to get a move to Arsenal.
