It's a combination of Congerton and Byrne. When you check Congerton's record after leaving us, it's hardly a glowing success. Look at the way he's currently thought of at Leicester

Byrne was arrogant enough in herself. I'd heard stories of her behaviour towards staff at the SoL, one said she was like Karen Brady, all nicey nicey to your face or to people with influence, but would knife you in the back to get on. She fell out with and got rid of people at the club who stood up to her, the club had loads of wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, bullying and harrasment cases ongoing for ages, with most of them about the culture and atmosphere she created. Her favourites could get away with murder as she protected them, but if you fell out with her you were history. She built up so much power in club it was unbelievable.

Where Alvarez is concerned my opinion is Congerton did a crap deal, basically knew he couldn't get a permanent transfer signed off so did a loan with an obligation to buy, instead of option to buy. Player breaks down and both he and Byrne tried to get out of it by saying "he's crocked and we didn't know how bad he was, so we're not paying". But the deal was water tight, so we couldn't get out of it, so when we lost the case, Methhead and Donald threw the doctor under the bus so they can try to wiggle out of paying up. The fact that since leaving us after falling out with Moyes, Dr Rehman has worked for the FA for the the men's national teams says that he's a well respected doctor.
