Can you believe "Mr" Evans has sent a DVD to the FA complaining about the Ref's performance and the "elbow" by Burton! Seems to miss the part where His guy nearly took off Vincelot's head.

I've tried to stay out of this but enough is enough. He's complained (incorrectly) about racist abuse following our defeat of Crawleylast year, now this. I really wish a hole would open up under him and swallow him. Is there a hole big enough though?
The trouble is the ref booked there player and this means the league can't do anything, where as because no punishment was given to Deon they can saying the ref didn't see it.

The time has come ( a long time ago ) to have a more realistic grade of yellow card. How can it be right that the same punishment is given to Taylor for his reckless challenge on Vincelot, as was given to Charlie Lee for not getting into position quickly enough to take a throw in. - but then, don't they say that the law is an ass ?
A very good point you raise.
I was going to write a short while back about Nelson's red card. For his 'professional foul' i.e. preventing a goal scoring opportunity, one would assume. The punishment was as follows:
Red card
Reduced to 10 men
Penalty
Goal scored
Two points lost and nearly three
Banned for the next competitive game
Fines
Not forgetting having to recall a player out on loan
Now look at the incident with Vincelot, a professional foul in the two examples has been applied with a much higher degree of punishment than putting someone in hospital regardless of intentions of opponent.
So what do we feel should be done? Is there a case for retrospective punishment? For say diving or when a punishment handed out at the time was incorrect. If a club feels that something has not been dealt with correctly they have to make a written request to the FA or football league (whichever one deals with this) within 1 working day (that's plenty of time to email or fax a request) for them to review the incident?
Or is it best to just leave it as is?
not the bitter manager who's team lost the match.
