Wickham was in form when we got him back. He was banging them in for Sheffield Wed, surely he deserves a chance!

I'm as entitled to be disappointed about today's performance (or lack of) as you're entitled to flippantly brush it off.

Let's talk about Altidore then, what ****ing service did he get? he got **** all really & the 2 to 3 times he got the ball he brought players into the game. he did more than weak ****s like Ki & Bridcutt today.

That has been precisely my point about Altidore all season, first season back in English football with a chop and change team that any striker would struggle in. Did himself no favours signing for us but who was to know that then. Be interesting to see how he fairs in the World Cup.

We should have left him at Sheff Wed if we aren't going to give him games. Again, it looks like we are halting his progress. He needs games....

I been saying the same about Altidore all season to pal. some sunderland fans haven't got a clue.

Hopefully he has a good world cup & then he can join a better club.

truth is baz we havent got a forward who is a threat at this point ,they are all pretty much the same imo ,anybody would have struggled in that debacle today

You're going on like he's ****ing Messi. He's a donkey. What sort of stats are one league goal all season for our main striker?

He's punching above his weight at Sunderland.

It's about today while it's still the day of the match surely. Or shall we lock the match thread at full time every game? What's the point of us posting on here at all if we can't reflect? <confused>

Hate to say it but your right mate. Like I said what's the point in picking a none scoring striker in a relegation battle?? He's had more chances than any of our strikers this season!

Defensive shambles,.standing of and letting Arsenal play. How is this Altidore's fault? Isolated with no support.

    Definition of scapegoat.

For me he starts at Wembley] with Borini and Johnson wide.

He's been "struggling with injuries" you know that's why he's been ****e.

Well thats what the Jozy's fault gang might believe.

Fletcher has been lazy and uninterested nearly all season.

As a lone striker against Kompany and another centre back,.he'll get tossed around like a rag doll and we won't be able to get possession.

just trying to chill you bro

you maybe right, could jozy cause them defensive probs next week, yes, can he score a goal, possibly but unlikely

could fletch cause concern and put it in the onion bag, more than likely

is it time for nacho man - who knows

What's that got to do with what cest said on the OP? Also he has repeatedly admitted he was wrong about O'Neill and how gutted that he was

Oh and Altidore was poor today. Ball never stuck. You seem to be the only one that thinks it did as all the radio reports said that as well. I watched the first half and, although he wasn't alone, he was poor today. Bridcutt looked out of his depth
