You're welcome to him for me mate. I dont rate the bloke at all. He didn't turn Liverpool down he **** his pants at the thought of managing a really big club. At Wigan he only has to turn up on a morning and he is a hero. No pressure on him at all.

He would **** his knickers every day if he was at either of the NE clubs imo and I would rather have Bruce back.

Don't be daft, he simply feels he owes Wigan something and loves the club. You have to always remember it was his first as a player in this country. He has a good record and Swansea and Brendan Rodgers have a lot to thank him for. There is pressure on every PL manager.

Sorry but any manager worth his salt wants to manage at the highest level possible. Liverpool are a stratosphere ahead of Wigan as a club and have one of the proudest histories in World football. If he had the ambition and the wherewithal he would have jumped at the chance. He didnt even have to relocate ffs.

No, he looked at the cushy little number he had at Wigan, with zero pressure, and opted for the easy ride. If not Liverpool then who does he think he will be managing next? Man Utd? Chelsea? Man City? Arsenal? Or one of the big European clubs? He wouldn't get a job cutting oranges at any of those clubs
and Liverpool would have been a major name in his cv.

He bottled it and in my eyes he is a coward. He would drown quicker than a man with a lead underpants at any of the NE clubs imo.

In fairness it could be perceived as a rare act of loyalty in the modern game <ok>

I personally love the blokes persona, honesty and the expansive brand of football his teams play.

Its all about opinions but I think he is a total bottler. Would be a disaster for us IMO but like I say, you're welcome to him in my eyes.

I know you're a big fan of O'Neill bud, but if for whatever reason he resigned/got sacked you got anyone specific you'd want to replace him with?

Nope there are no credible alternatives imo and that's why we have to stick with him until May at least. When Bruce was making a good impression of a cak handed manager, there WAS an obvious alternative and we got him. MoN is struggling right now admittedly but he is doing so with Bruce's flops not his own team.

He has to be given the transfer window to try and rectify the errors Bruce made and if he can get us to a mid table position (after all we are only 6 points and a game in hand from being 10th) and then he can build again in the summer.

After 2 seasons we will really begin to see if he has made headway but after 12 months its too early to chop and change again that's for sure. MoN is ten times the manager Bruce will ever be and he got 2.5 years. I think we owe it to ourselves to give Martin at least that to put his stamp on things.

One thing I am completely convinced about is the likes of Martinez is the last thing we need in this fight.

Another that is prepared to give MON more time however living in East Anglia I see a fair bit of the teams down here, Carl Robinson at MK Dons is a very impressive Manager, team plays very attractive football, score goals and are challenging for League 1 title. Obviously untried at Premier League level so a definite gamble but a name to consider.

Fair and good shout mate, my only reservation about that would be to look at Eddie Howe, had a great reputation went up to manage Burnley in the Championship and pretty much flopped. I would gamble on a championship manager, not league 1 <ok>

With regards to Martinez 'bottling' the Liverpool job, my memory of it all was Liverpool wanted certain restrictions on his management, for example he didn't have full control on transfers in and out. That's not bottling it, quite the opposite actually.

Cest, the likes of Martinez is exactly what we need in this fight. He has done this the last couple of years and won each fight.

Martinez is not for us - the fact that he has had to fight in each of the last couple of years should tell you something - he has put the team into a dog fight in each of those seasons.

We need to persevere with MON I'm afraid, it maybe a bitter pill but its one we have to swallow, there has not been a single credible whisper that MON is under threat, just the normal message board debates which are understandable after a run of poor performances.

Liverpool is a poison chalice that's why Martinez said no imo. Wigan are currently only 2 points behind Liverpool atm and I think what they spent on Joe Allen is more than Martinez has spent during his entire tenure as Wigan boss. He turned Villa down too remember as everyone knows they are on the alone

I'm sorry but Sunderland would be a huge step backwards from Everton for Moyes. At this current time anyway.

It would be a fresh challenge Shogun - but not a massive step back, at least he would have money to spend.

I'm not for one minute saying Moyes would come - just that you don't really appreciate how small a club the likes of the Everton's & Liverpool's are now perceived as, miles behind the top 4 and well within touching distance of others(including us), stumble and you will fall.

If Moyes is overlooked for one of the next big jobs such as Man City, Chelsea or Utd then I think he will just stay with Everton. Sunderland are a step back at this moment in time but the 2 clubs are not miles apart.

Anyway. MoN is going nowhere and neither is Moyes.
