well there's certainly something going on in that rear of the car area. Its undercut under the exhaust more than i've seen in the other cars (i think without looking)

for sure there's outwashing under pods and the top of pod is not significant.

It looks form the front win that again this is more outer wing like some other cars. In fact there seems to still be the two different approaches at play.

Ferrari images look like a lower inner and higher outboard wing
Mclaren is hard to tell but look high all across in images?
Aston has the middle bulge we saw before. The low inner up to a big tall part and then drops right down.
the Red bull video look like they are dropping right down on the outside
alpha looks high right across with small bulge.
haas looks very simple gradula rise and then a dip at the end. not a very exciting front wing.

There looks a very clear difference in approach between a ferrari and red bull here as well.

Ferrar nee to need that air to go up and power car above and red cull want it going down the under side pod.

Not an easy car to come back and make a statement in- they’ve been nowhere all year so a very tough test for Danny Ricc here.

If he can get some points and be his racy old self, he’ll be doing very well I reckon.

I'd not be shocked if this is a plan to get ricciardo match fit as it were.

get him a few races at the back then drop perez

Maybe, odd journey for Danny if that were the case. Redbull also have to consider next season could be much more competitive and two consistently good drivers maybe essential.

I think there's been rumours that Red Bull are interested in Palou from Indycar too? The Indycar season ends September 10th, there's 8 F1 races left after that (4 left before).

Ricciardo gets a few races, if he's miles off the pace then they can look at Palou replacing him at AT.

If Ricciardo is good then he could take Perez seat, at which point Perez is presumably dumped entirely, and Palou could still take the AT seat.

in the end if the second best package on the grid is finishing 4th 5th and 6th cos it is qualifying 17th for absolutely no good reason then they will look at getting thst package back to 2nd on the grid.

someone will take perez's seat unless he improves a lot

Whoever goes to Red Bull will play second fiddle Max, even Alonso would get no where near him now on pure pace.

Palou is quite a talent, that's for sure. He's already racked up 4 wins this season and has a healthy lead in the title, already a champion, and I don't believe he'd have the super license issues that Herta had with his record. He could potentially do well in F1.

Max I certainly on the top of his game, but when you're at the top, there's always somebody else waiting in the wings to come topple you.

I'd agree that Max is the most "complete" driver right now, but i reckon Leclerc is his match for raw pace. Hamilton and Alonso would have the racecraft.

A random thought is that Red Bull might be worried about Max being too dominant at the moment. Thinking back to how Mercedes used to detune their engines in 2014 since they knew the regs would get changed if they took pole by 2 seconds.

The usual logic is that you want a nice compliant no2 in the other seat, but if Max wins 20 races in row how does the FIA react to that? Red Bull dominance might last longer if they can build a narrative around an entertaining fight between two top drivers

An entertaining fight between two top drivers is always good, but it can end in tears when there is a coming together as usually happens.
Who can forget Prost and Senna?
Even these two, Ricciardo and Verstappen? If Perez loses hiis seat.

I remember Perez complaining about the amount of time he is away for F1. I think Perez may personally be ready to step away from the circus. The amount of races per season, is a strain for many.
I travelled a lot in my job, all over world, even Siberia. Monday morning up at 4.30 to get a flight out, back Friday. It is no fun. If you value your personal relationships you have to stop.
I think Perez has perhaps indicated he is done.

Hard to say how good Max is atm as his only competition is a pay-driver.

Reports from German publication Auto Motor und Sport claim that Tsunoda will retain his place with the team for 2024, and his contract extension will be confirmed ahead of his home race at Suzuka this weekend.

So, no place for Liam Lawson yet.Maybe they are waiting for Perez contract to expire at the end of next season and slot him in there.

But the second seat at RB is a bit of a poison chalice anyway,so even he may reject any offers.

It's wild to me that the expectation is for Sargeant to keep that seat. One of the least impressive rookies i can remember, perhaps bar Mazepin.

Lawson, Pourchaire, Schumacher, Vesti. Any of them would be a substantial upgrade for Williams.

Yeah, that seems like a sound idea. Move away from the whole RB camp completely.

Well Sargeant is staying , that can only be because he is a yank .

I have not read they are keeping Sargeant , not doubting you , but hope they drop him .
