Since 2009 the BBC have made a number of changes and improvements so that we have the best coverage possible, and it's gotten to a stage where it's almost perfect, but not too happy about the quick post qualifying coverage.

No offence to those who like to watch "So you think you can dance?", but surely F1 should take priority. There weren't any interruptions in qualifying like red flags, and yet we didn't even have time for the press conference! I would like to see more driver interviews, more analysis, maybe a pre-race preview from Brundle as well. I just think there needs to be more after qualifying, and maybe a shorter build up.

It's not just the coverage that the BBC need to sort out, but also the poor journalism from guys like Andrew Benson with this misleading nonsense about Webber, which has already been discussed in another thread. And I don't even why Sarah Holt is on their payroll.
 
On the point of Sarah Holt, I fail to see what her point is now, especially with the recent boom in tweeting. All it really needs is someone to set up an account following all the people involved in f1 (or knowledgeable people) and then retweet everything. That way we'd get the input of ScarbsF1 and the like, as well as all the teams twitter feeds and technical staff, and ex technical staff, all in one place. And Sarah Holt can be replaced by a computer program. I bet'd it'd be far cheaper!
 
They should put qualifying on BBC2, start the show fifteen minutes before the hour, and have a forty-five minute post-qualifying analysis show.

I think Sarah Holt's quite pretty in a quirky kind of way. Benson should have been sacked about five years ago.

Why didn't Humphrey ask Domenicali, "was it a unanimous vote?"?

In many ways the show has the feel of a Jim Rosenthal presentation now. I suppose we could all switch off and just tune in for the FOM feed but if they're going to broadcast a support show then they should make it as good as they can.
 
The build up should be shorter, post race/quali analysis longer. The build up is mind=numbing these days, they just stroll around the paddock talking about nothing in particular. They should show a bit more footage, maybe from previous races at the circuit. One thing I'd really like them to do is update us on engine usage statistics, at a circuit like Montreal where engines play such a big part it would be interesting to see who has a fresh unit. There used to be a blog (F1Wolf, not sure if you're familiar with it) that use to publish engine and gearbox data, but he's stopped doing it now and I don't know where else to find out.
