Not only did a lightning strike cause the North Korean Women's World Cup team to lose to the USA, it also caused five of their players to test positive for drugs, according to the coach. Full story: Metro

This made me chuckle, how people even when caught red handed will still deny what they have been up to.

Reminded me of my brother when we were kids. A donkey had been put in a field near our caravan (glamour lifestyle or what). We had been forbidden to play with the donkey. Anyway such an exotic beast obviously held too much temptation for my brother. However, when he returned, the moment he set foot across the threshold mam said "you've been playing with the donkey haven't you?". "no mam, honest" replied my brother. The large hoof shaped bruise on his forehead did little to back up his story!

Got to love lies in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary! Anyone got any others?
 
My mother always finds it appropriate to tell any new lasses that i take over about an incident when i was about 6, when i'd snuck in the cupboard and snaffled a couple of kit kats.

When i'd walked in the room she asked 'have you been helping yourself to chocolate biscuits...'

I've said 'no'.

Story goes i had chocolate from ear to ear, and a kit kat wrapper poking out my shoe.

Not the best story i'll ever tell, but it seems to be the mothers party piece, 25 years later...

I was 4-5ish and my mother had cooked a load of mice pies on Christmas, I asked if I could have some. She said you can have the broken ones. Apparently I proceeded to go into the kitchen and smash up 3 dozen and scoff the lot. She swears i wasn't even sick and despite braying me said she was quite impressed by the logic at such a young age!
 
Because if they admit to doping and admit they were garbage then they will be watching the next world cup from a labour camp.

Didnt the coach of the mens team get sentenced to hard labour after the world cup?

Best porkies i heard was Pardspew for the Skunks The Carroll money will be used to strengthen the squad, ha ha ha this will go down in the annuls of football stories.

HAHAHAHAHHA Not wrong there mate. Summer not over yet like but what they have got in not exactly 35 mil worth is it.
