A wee trip to Clackmannanshire today to take on the mighty Alloa. The plastic pitch is not a problem according to Magic Marky. Every ones available for this match and I hope to see Oduwa make an appearance at some point. The pitch should be good for the slick passing game the manager wants to play. Looking for a clean sheet and the keeper to make better decisions with the ball at his feet. 0-3
Rangers: Foderingham, Tavernier, Wilson, Kiernan, Wallace (c), Halliday, Law, Holt, McKay, Miller, Waghorn. Subs: Kelly, Walsh, Hardie, Oduwa, Ball, Shiels, Clark
2-1 Waghorn scoring Rangers first penalty award since October 2014. So much for always getting dodgy penalties.
Ffs Aldo, I've been speaking to myself on chat box aboot ra game and here you are on here doing the same. What are we like eh?
1-4 ht Good first half display. Good stuff being played by both teams. Chopra is about three stone over weight but when he has the ball at his feet you can see his class. Rangers a wee bit guilty of playing too much football in front of the Alloa goal but the have scored 4 and hit the woodwork twice. The defence were badly at fault at their goal and Keirnan has been a bit lax with some of his passing. This could get messy as Alloa tire.
Oduwa with a cheeky rainbow flick gets pulled down and is wrongy given a foul against him. FT 1-5 Should have been more.
Should have been a lot more Aldo, but it will do for now. Wait until the team gels properly remember some of these guys have only been with us a couple of weeks. That new lad from Spurs looked talented, but I thought the team played better with McKay there. Wish he'd kept Waghorn on I thought he was playing well. The keeper looked a lot more comfortable with the ball at his feet today. Miller, Wallace and Tavernier all had excellent games in my opinion. I also thought Kiernan was quietly effective. This is much more like it.
When I said should I meant the offside decisions mate. Mind you Miller was offside at his second so heyho. Oduwa looked too eager to impress when he first came on but settled down and showed some good skill. I thought he took Waghorn off because we were out of sight and Marky didne want to risk him any longer on that surface. Taverier was the stand out again along with Wallace and Miller I agree. Wee Holt had a good game as well. The keeper did well but Alloa weren't chasing him down. His save at their free kick was top notch. Wilson fell asleap at their goal and Keirnan had a couple of passes that left a lot to be desired but apart from that it was a very good performance.
