So why did Brendan Rogers refer to it?

Pointless going over it, there is nothing LFC or a manager of LFC could do which would make you ashamed. Obviously.

I also said at the start of this that Jenkins wouldn't let him go for less than £15 million so Rodgers should stop making a twat out of himself and pay up.
    Was that sensible?

I wonder if it was Rodgers' decision how much the bid should be?
Thanks for the £22 million this summer arseholes

I believe Joe Allen can play the role Xabi Alonso did for us. He may not be as good as Xabi Alonso is now, but he may be as good as Xabi Alonso was at 22. When Xabi Alonso was 22, he was a nobody and wasn't a regular in the Spain squad.

Why don't you **** off back to your own board, Allen is no longer your player and Brendan is no longer your manager so why are you constantly camped on our board? Are you lost?

He wasn't a nobody. He won Spanish player of the year in the 2002-03 season when he was playing for Real Sociedad and helped them finish 2nd in the league 2 points off the champions Madrid. He would've been about 20/21 back then.

And you're welcome to the £22mill...thanks for your manager and player who we arseholes have just paid a fair price for <ale>

Just for the record, I wish Joe all the very best at Anfield, but the agreement we had was not honoured by Rodgers, and for that, he will not get my good wishes, the whole tapping up saga has left a bitter taste in the Swansea fans mouths, and Rodgers will not get a warm welcome when he comes back to the liberty. It's all water under the bridge now, and while I can see some views on here that £15 Million should soften the blow, and we should be able to pick up an easily good replacement in Spain, then the question must be asked, why didn't your scouts pick up one of these cheap Spanish gems?

The fact is as I see it, we have lost a great player, and one of the very best at the liberty, and I'm sure I don't need to mention how well he played against your Lucas last season!! There's no doubt in my mind we are going to struggle this season without Joe, and while we have brought in a (temporary in my view) De Guzman from Villarreal, on loan, having watched him over two games, but especially against Stuttgart yesterday, he's not a patch on Joe!! So the point is this, yes there are these talented players in Spain, and elsewhere, but how many will make the step up to the cut and thrust of the Premiership, and that is our problem, now that Joe has gone. Unless Laudrup pulls a quality midfield general find, then we will struggle big time this season. Our passing and Possession game, is based on the strength and fluidity of our midfield, and Joe had a special partnership with Leon Britton, that was unique, and it will be some shoes to fill, from who ever we find, but anyway that's our problem, no bitterness from me to Liverpool, or it's fans, but yes we will really miss young Joe and those scousers, who don't know what all the fuss is, well you'll soon find out when he starts running your midfield!...............

Wigger - please don't tar us all with the same brush! A few bitter Swans come on here to whinge and you want the club relegated; don't be so sensitive mate, it can't be good for your blood pressure. Most of the Jacks I have spoken to accept that Joe was offered a career move that most could only dream of and wish him all the best. So don't get hung up on the whingers' posts - they are in no way representitive of the feelings of most Swansea fans. I get so frustrated with all this loyalty crap - the only club loyalty comes from the fans - players and managers are doing a job and no-one should blame them if they change employers to advance their careers - I am still to meet anyone who would stay loyal to their current employers if they were offered triple wages and the job of their dreams! So why are footballers judged by different standards? Beats me!

Am really hoping all this crap blows over soon and we can get back to the relationship enjoyed by our two clubs in the past - am old enough to remember the last time we were in the top flight and the help we had from LFC back then.

Wigger, we are not all moaning Jacks - the vast majority of us are people just like you who love our club, respect other clubs, and know how football works - so please don't wish relegation on us just because some muppets pissed you off! <cheers>

Every team has their own set of twats so I'll take back the relegation comment, but it's ridiculous now, if any of you have problems with what's happened, thats fair enough, but we have nothing to do with it so why are a lot of the swans fans constantly camped on our board? They're constantly complanning about Rodgers and slagging us off, when we have **** all to do with it <doh>

It just gets on my tits <ok>

Gets on my tits too Wigger - and not a lot of Swans fans, just a few of the usual suspects that give us earache on our board as well! Thanks for taking back the relegation comment and for the record Liverpool have always been a team that I have admired and held in high regard. Some on these boards take things far too personally - I know Joey Allen quite well and have also met Brendan a few times through my work with the Swans fanzine - and both are genuine and likeable personalities - I wish them both all the best and hope that they flourish at LFC and am sure they will! You have landed yourselves a top manager and a very talented midfielder so just ignore the negative Nellies - they will always find something to moan about, it is embedded in their DNA! They don't understand that football is a business and that those who excell will move on to bigger things! We at Swansea understand that we are a little fish in a big pond but want to remain here as long as possible; have supported the team through the lower leagues and will continue to do so - whatever happens - but playing in the Premier League has been an absolute joy and I hope we can enjoy a few more seasons there! So please ignore the bitter muppets Wigger - they don't speak for our club, just denigrate it - most of us Swans are level headed football people who love our club and can appreciate the fact that if players do well they will be picked up by bigger teams! I don't have a problem with that, and most of my mates don't either! So good luck for the coming season - hope Joey and Brenda enjoy every success and hope that us Jacks will still be there next season!

<ok> Well said ... As I've already said, everyone has their own set of fans who decide to act like twats, I suppose it would be pretty boring without them! <laugh>

I wish you well for the coming season, I loved the football you played last year, and long may it continue <ok>
