I agree. It's the same with us at Cardiff. Something of a closed shop has developed between the established Premier clubs as the dosh being thrown about has increased exponentially this past 10 years. It emanates form the old Division One regulars who feel it's their right to always maintain that status level. Despite the alleged club "rivalry" beteen them, they will do what they need to do to protect each other's position. A sort of mutual self preservation society. As far as the original thread subject is concerned, I can't say I know that much about your situation with the Allams, but down here, Vince Tan is certainly making his mark. I suppose one of the added attractions is the fact that we own our stadium, and have a 150 year lease on the land the whole complex stands on. I believe one of the problems the Allams face is the fact that the KC is owned by the egg dominated local City Council up there.
Had a look at the first PL league table back in 1992 - had forgotten such big teams as Coventry, Wimbledon, Sheffield United and even Oldham Athletic were there in the 1st season, and yet we never hear that these "big" teams alongside other "big teams" like Leeds and Forest belong back there.
