Change happens. We've all seen players and managers come and go over the years but a name is a fundamental part of a club's identity. This should be something that remains untouched so to preserve the club's heritage and identity throughout the generations that support the club. No individual should hold the right to change such a big part of the club's identity at their own will and for many this goes further than a simple name change. The reasons behind the name change are ridiculous and are an insult to fans past and present.
The reason for the last change of name was that the club left Woolwich for North London. Melton Tigers anybody?
I suggest you read what I wrote, it usually helps when trying to make a reasoned response. I said if they packed up the club and left they would become hate figures, that's undeniable. I didn't say or suggest they were hate figures now. Also the fact you think this situation is comparable to the Hull FC name changes highlights your complete ignorance on both fronts. Oh and a minor grievance, can you proof-read your posts, the spelling and grammar makes you look either uneducated or pissed (possibly both).
That would be your Choice I would still go If you live in hull il pick you up and take you to Melton and back home after the game IF we did move
I Celebrate i know F all about egg chasing. Tiny little ' sport ' that it is. Anyway Some hate the Change Some are not that botheted Some even like the idea Would be a **** world if we all thougjht the same way. Peace
In the future don't start a debate on something you know nothing about, it's not constructive and only makes you look like stupid. As I said earlier its an integrity issue, if you happily have none then that's none of my concern, like you say it would be boring if we were all the same!
I still can't believe the amount of people saying things like "the Allams saved us from extinction, they can do what they want". NO THEY DIDN'T. From today extinction is exactly what the Allams have brought on Hull City. Honestly, them not buying the club and administration would've been preferable to this.
If the Allams hadn't bought Hull City then we would have gone into administration and somebody else would have bought us like Adam did earlier.
I thought it was a "strong brand"? Would anybody even come up with this idea if they had even a tiny clue?
Would be better to save it till the first Home match and try and get the whole stadium chanting City, City. Ok not on the TV but the rest of the UK and the World don't give a ****e what we are called, Might get through the Allams thick skulls that the fans are not happy about it and the national & international media are bound to get wind of it.
