Out of interest, who would be a worse owner? If you like Allam you must also like Tan and the Oystons. The thing people love about him seems to be not interfering with the team, so presumably Abramovich would be an example of a bad owner? He's one of the only owners I can think of who have been reported to have interfered with selections. Dunno if it's true though.
as long as AA leaves the managerial **** to SB and keeps the purse strings for SB to spend as he likes, he can say what he wants about me or you, I've a thick skin. dunno about the rest of you tho'.
The poor thin-skinned devils get upset if a child wearing a shirt they don't like the colour of sits too close to them.
The sad thing is about this whole debacle is that the lines are blurred on one side. Those of us who disagree with the attempted name change use terms such as “We are Hull City”, “City 'till I die,” and “No to Hull Tigers” etc. Statements of intent. Bold, clear, understandable. Then there's those on the other side of the fence. The ones that use terms such as “It's his club, he can do what he wants.” And dross like “As long as we have Premier League football, I don't care what we're called...” There's no “I want us to be Hull Tigers because.....” It seems that even the Allam arselickers can't bear to use the name 'Hull Tigers'. Maybe they know it's not right but blindly believe it will bring us riches because the great benefactor Allam says it will? For me, I don't mind if I have a heated argument about a poor signing we've made, team selection, KC atmosphere, ticket prices and anything like that. But I will never ever understand anyone who backs Allam, thinks he's right, boos their fellow fans and will gladly sell their souls to have the seat at the top table that is the Premier League. Sorry, but you are wrong. And yes, I can't stand you and your views. Again, you are wrong. Allam is a prick. All those who blindly follow him are pricks. When Allam is gone, will you still want Hull Tigers, even when a new owner comes in and says that the name change was stupid and we'll forever be Hull City? Bet you won't. Kow-Towing glory-hunting nobs, that's what you are. But like I said before, all this is not our fault. Not yours either. Allam is to blame. Wake up and smell the camel ****. Just sad that, as a Hull lad of 40 years, I see that this solid, northern, salt of the earth community has so many weak-minded tools who can't see what's happening in front of their eyes.... Allams Out.
you are getting those of us that aren't really bothered, mixed up with the pro-name change, of which there aren't any, so I am not surprised that there aren't any songs.
Spot ****ing on. Also they always refer to the club as "City/The Tigers". Like they can't bear to just use the name without clarifying that we also have a nickname.
Basically what patty just said. I doubt there's any pro-name change people out there and think it will help the team, but there may be a fair few who will support the club either way and don't care what it's called. Then there'll be those who are pro-allam, who believe he has done enough fr the club that he can do what he wants in the sense that he owns it, its his. Either way, I don't think there'll be more than a handful of people who actually think the name change will benefit the club in any way, which is why you can't see support for it on a matchday... there isn't any. Pro-Allam doesn't have to mean pro-namechange.
Ask other fans... I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses from toon army, mackems, dramas, wet spam fans
Erm, that's kind of my point. Those of us against the name change are passionate about our club's heritage. Those on the other side of the fence that 'aren't really bothered' don't mind being walked all over and treated like **** by our 'saviour'. That's why you're all kow-towing pricks. If you're not bothered, why can't you see it from both sides? And stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow fan? As opposed to arse-licking the looney tune council hating rat that owns our club?
I don't want the name to change but I'm somewhat on the fence, I'd rather enjoy the football at the moment, we'll have 3 months to go through all of this with no football. The reason why I'm not "standing shoulder to shoulder" is because I don't necessarily approve of the way they go about it . It's not all black and white. Every supporter probably has a slightly varied opinion of the man, which means that some are unlikely to want to be associated with those who are calling him a "looney tune council hating rat" or worse. That's what Patty is trying to say. AA created the divide between the fans but the Anti-Allam Brigade are making it worse by telling others "if you're not with us, you're with him/you're not a true supporter" which is a painfully moronic thing to say.
Credit where it's due. That's a good post. Although there's a reason that an 'anti-Allam brigade' exists. Allam's attitude towards us has been downright despicable and he needs to be called out for it. People need to remember he's created all this himself. I loved him for what he did for us but as time has passed I've grown to hate him for what he's done since. And those that still think he's the messiah are tools in my book. But I respect what you posted and thank you for your reply.
How can you be against the name change & be on the fence? What leads you to believe we'll have 3 months to discuss it at the end of the season, the FA Council meet on May 19th? You appear blinded by the bright lights of the Premier League. Who are "they"? Why can't you do something about the proposed name change, that you don't want, off your own back? Write to the FA, the PL, the FL, the CEO of Barclays, The FSF. Write to the club & let them know your views. Do you need someone to wipe your arse for you? Is the"Anti-Allam brigade" an official movement created only because Allam created a divide between fans? Is it a members only brigade? Do you have a link to where this mystery military tactical formation plotting against Allam have stated ""if you're not with us, you're with him/you're not a true supporter" I think you're imagining the existence of an organised military movement with supremacist views over other supporters & using it as an excuse to do nothing. There are many long term supporters who have become seriously disenfranchised from the club as a direct result of Allam's actions, words & lack of respect for both them & the club. They have the balls, that you apparently don't, to stand up for what they believe in. One man is responsible for this whole episode. He refuses to listen, engage or compromise. He's arrogant, rude & provocative. He's ill informed, ignorant regarding football, a bully & a liar. The issues cannot be ignored until the end of the Premier League season. They need discussing now, it won't go away. You, supposedly, don't want the name to change but are not ready to do anything about it until the Premier League season is over. I'm thankful many other supporters don't hold this weak attitude. If we're relegated many of those with flippant views regarding the proposed name change won't be around to discuss it anyway. When his ill advised proposal is finally rejected many others, maybe even yourself, will be thankful to the ones who have highlighted his lack of business acumen in a professional & articulate manner despite the bullying, threats & lies directed at them by the owner, an owner who you & others demand respect for, whilst we're in the Premier League.
Ben's been hacked, I suggest you close his account. No use of the word "****" in there at all. It's also quite well written, thoughtful and intelligent, another sign it's not him.
I feel similar frankly. I've held on longer than others but the recent **** he's done has tipped me over. I think I just find it easy to ignore his **** ups, as long as he keeps pumping money and keeps failing in His bid to get the name changed. That's why I think the off season will definitely make things worse, once there aren't any distractions. That's when I would push protests to the next level.
You should know better, you're one of The founding fathers of That brigade. The fact that you can't comprehend someone being on the fence is exactly the point I was making. I don't see Allam at our club in the near future. and I don't see him being able to make irreversible damage to the club in regards to the name change. So I'm not worried ... Whether I voice my opinion or not, is irrelevant as the FA has rules blocking the proposal. Protesting over something that cannot happen is rather futile. Whether you like it or not, the club is in a good place. Anyone willing to disrupt this for the sake of a personal vendetta is misguided. the guy is a twat , sure ... but he's only one man. Don't make him out to be bigger than the club. Look at the bigger picture, he'll be a stain on our history one day in a couple years. If the FA didn't have these rules then it would be a very different story and I would thoroughly support the efforts to block the proposal but it's not gonna happen so it is now about slagging off the old twat...tit for tat. sorry for focusing on the football rather than doing so. Actually no... Why should I apologise for that ? lmao.
Twenty posts in and, for me, you're bang on the money; ^^^these^^^ are two great posts that I wish I had the ability to pen.
