Just a complete stab in the dark here, but would I be right in thinking you've never leased any large commercial property?
If Allam did do this scenario then he would be doing it to ultimately get the KC so I don't think the SMC, which he owns, would be too bothered about FC honouring their lease agreement.

If Assem wanted a to merge both clubs and end up with one decent rugby league team, then they'd play at the KC. If he's already got access to one good stadium, why the hell would would he move into a **** one?
No I haven't but large commercial property or not, that does not affect mutual rescission in any way.
Because the council use FC as an argument to not sell him the stadium and to keep hold of it. Remove FC, remove the argument.
Nice theory, but it won't happen. as its been said , too much History (regardless of Gateshead) What gain is there for Allams? other rage from the rugby fans.
Merging would make commercial sense but due to the league structure of no promotion/relegation the Hull/Rovers matches are the only competitive ones in a season of meaningless friendlies.
Well yes, but we're on a Rugby related thread. Logic, common sense and intelligence have no place here. Just trying to fit in.
This whole thread is total and utter bollocks. Ownership of the KC is not gpverned by the clubs lease agreements.
Has there always been tension between city and fc fans or just since we've started ground sharing? I've noticed there seems to be a lot more kr fans than fc on here aswell.
There's no way the two clubs will ever merge, if it was going to happen it would've done in 95 when Super League was first floated and mergers were suggested. I honestly don't know anyone who regularly goes to either club that would support a merger, East and West Hull would be the two most watched clubs in Hull, and I'd go and watch Skirlaugh.
It goes back well beyond that, for some reason there's always been less tension between City and KR fans, than City and FC fans, though I've no idea why. I never really knew any rugby fans, so I don't really know the in's and out's.
