I have got to say I am a Catts fan, but tonight in the first half he was poor and was very lucky not to be subbed when Gardner was. He played much better once Ki came on. I think Catts and Ki are the way forward, but Larson was more creative than Catts tonight.

I suppose I cant argue with that mate. Hes in his mid twenties though and in my opinion hes a marked man now. Alot of his Yellows have been borderline. We paid 6m for him, we can more than double that value in my opinion!

People have been going on about 15m Jack Rodwell, future England star for years, but he couldnt lace Catts boots!

He misplaced a lot of of passes but then again made at least one that lead to a goal. His protection of the back four could not have been better and it was great to see him keep a lid on the needless fouls. Really proud of him and the lads.

Larsson had a very good game imo, as well as his usual excellent defensive contribution he made some very good runs from midfield to support Jozy. I'd offer Seb a new deal

He has played well since he came back at a time when Collback was not playing his best...However, when they both play at their best I think Collback is the better player..

Always been a supporter of him. He was simply awesome tonight but so was Borini, Giacherinni, Ki, Larsson and the back 4.

Manonne, Jozy and ............. Great team performance.

Have to agree (as i know what you're getting at). Both at their best I think Catts is a better football than Colback personally.

Spot on pal. Colback was man of the match against Newcastle & Man city but now Cattermole had a ok game people think he is better <laugh> did anyone see how many balls Cattermole give away tho. Colback will never give the ball away that much in a game.

Well mate, you already know, i'm a Catts fan, and not so much a Colback one, so obviously i'm biased, but even trying to take my blinkers of, i still see no contest.

Imo Catts is the one that can drive the team on, he's a determinded ****er, yet often see's a mist that costs. Problem for Catts is the timing, he's more like a player from years ago, when footballers could make a challenge without the fear of having some poxy ref wanting to make it a tarts game.

80.8% successful pass ratio - yeah that's ****e isn't it!! Prime example of someone who dislikes Cattermole and see's only the 19.2% he gave away and not the rest.

Typical Cattermole Hater who can;t admit when he's wrong - he was immense last night and sky gave him MOTM. He was better than "OK" but you will never admit this as you're simply someone who can;t admit when they're wrong.

His passing is better, his tackling is far far better, his reading of the game is tremendous (watched it back when I got home and he seems to know where every opposition player is when they have the ball).

    He out-passed Lampard last night

Catts probably was MoM , and he played well, he did not so stupid challenges and get himself sent off..I certainly do not hate Catts but I really think he is a liability when he commits stupid fouls!

The thing is we need 4 top class midfielders in our squad and be be quite honest we have got 1 in Ki, Catts is too inconsistent as is Colback & Gardner, Larsson is a converted winger. I think Catts and Ki is pur best partnership, personally I would play Colback at Lb as Dossena does not fill me with much confidence.

We need to sign a quality pacy winger in the window. Let Gaicc play in the hole at the front of a midfield 3, he was most effective when he came inside last night.

If were going to stay we need a rose type LB and a Welbeck type LW. Borini should be starting every game too he was superb last night and much better than Johnson who always looks a 1/2 yard off the pace.

Gus must now look for quality in the window and not numbers.
