...totally agree...if Ronaldo had taken the clatterings that George Best took there would be voluminous tears and a hurried retreat to the safe haven of the eyebrow plucking boutique...

George punished you for the tackles by staying on his feet and scoring...amazing balance, technique and speed...and not a hint of eyeliner...:)

    my team
    Schmeichel
    Neal Hansen Ferdinand Irwin
    Best Charlton Souness Barnes
    Suarez Rush

Barnes is very questionable but i just loved watching him play and whilst i may only have seen the *** end of charltons career i saw enough of him to know he was a true great and would have been in any generation.
As for Edwards don't get people putting him in their team as they will never have seen him play and no-one can be certain of how his career would have turned out if it hadn't been for the Munich tragedy

Souness is the only Liverpool player I could genuinely see in my 11, he was a brilliant player, but even then Keane was better of their ilk.
I doubt you'd play both in the same side.

I can't even get Charlton, Law and Giggs in my prefered 11 so there's no way a Pool player gets in!

    Without bias. Honest!

To be honest I felt the same way.

Souness was probably a touch more creative (technically) than Keane? So he edged it. Plus I thought if I included Keane or Robbo instead as well as the rest of my selection then it would seem like I was being biased.

Yeah, cos Gerrard out of position is clearly better than Ronaldo, Beckham and Best when played in position. No bias there at all <ok>

That's mine. It was wafer thin between Law and Dalglish up top, willing to admit I went for Law largely for the Utd connection, and of course the Ballon d'Or and better goal scoring record ;). Also arguments for Scholes, Alonso or Molby in midfield ahead of Keane or Souness for balance (although Alonso and Molby didn't even make the BBC list!)

How good would he have been had he not been a piss head and/or had use of modern day methods? #scary

So deluded. Keane Scholes Robson and I would guess Edwards all better options in central midfield.

Gerrard 2 goals in 38 games v Chelsea until his final appearance
