Well, this has been fun but I'mm off to watch the highlights of Celtic winning the league in style.

Only a company registered with Company House can be declared Liquidated.

The business (the club) is a combination of the assets (including the all important goodwill or trading rights).

Assets cannot be liquidated, they are sold from a company prior to a liquidation declaration.
 
With all the laws governing insolvency in the UK it is common to hear the question posed, "What is the difference between administration and liquidation?" This is probably because of all the reports of administrative orders that make the daily papers when large corporations are on the brink of insolvency. You will rarely hear anyone ask, "What does liquidation mean?" because it is self explanatory and often used synonymously with the winding up of a business. In other words a liquidation definition could simply be 'winding up a business.' It can be compulsory (court ordered) or voluntary, but it always results in the winding up of a business.

Administration, on the other hand, does not need to result in the winding up or liquidation of a business. An administrator is appointed by the court, creditors or the company itself. Furthermore, the administrator takes on a broad scope of duties and literally takes over those duties which were previously held by directors. He or she sees to the operation of the company in order to comply with the administrative order of the court. It may be to liquidate the company and it may also be to turn financial matters around within a given timeframe, usually 12 months, in order to bring it back to being solvent.

So then, what is liquidation and how is it different from administration? In terms of a simple definition, liquidation is the winding up of a business that will cease operations while administration is the appointment of an administrator who may or may not seek liquidation. Liquidation can be sought even when a business is solvent but administration is ordered when the company is insolvent. Liquidation is the final phase of a business but administration may be an interim phase intended to bring the company back to solvency.

The conversion to cash. Liquidating a position may simply mean selling stock or bonds; the seller in this case receives the cash. Liquidation also refers to a situation in which a company ceases operations and sells as many assets as it can; the company uses the cash to repay debt and, if possible, shareholders.

The above one is better. Remember the club is in the assets, they are sold prior to the company being declaired 'liquidated;

You don't know me but you have started using my casual name? If you do know me then you are aware that I am very far from being a simpleton and perhaps that's your major problem, everyone who tells you that you are talking monumental bollocks is a simpleton. I have been fairly tolerant of your obvious hubris so far but i'm afraid you should get out more because you seem somewhat (a lot if truth be told) fixated on convincing everyone on the Internet that you are right and they are wrong.

I have asked several times why no one else has shown this get out of jail free card to be a viable proposition, you suggest Club 9 have. Is that it?

Club 9 and you in your wisdom alone have found a convenient trap door by which Rangers FC can cheat the hangman, and what's worse, you seem somehow to think that this sticks like a wishbone in my (and all Celtic fans') craw?

I personally don't give a tinker's cuss what happens to Rangers but when oafs such as yourself start spamming multiple chat rooms with arrant nonsense such as this, I thank the Lord that I have more to concern myself than the imminent death of Rangers FC. I never asked for it and I never wished for it but when or if it does happen, I doubt that you will be posting on here telling us that you were wrong and we were right.

Rangers (club) will be sold out of Rangers (company) from either Administration, or potentially Iiquidation.

As soon as the club is sold, it is safe with an intact history. This method requires no CVA to be agreed.

What is it you think of the club that shall be sold to preserve your history?

Oh dont get your knickers in a twist mate!

Trust me, whoever takes over the club is likely to go down this route. Even if it is the Blue Knights, then you will soon hear them change their tune on the history and will confirm what I am saying.

If you are wondering why they are saying it is bad at present. Well that could well be due to the fact they know in a straight bidding war, they would probably be beaten by another party, such as the Americans.

What they are doing now is trying to paint them as the bad guys, so that it puts off the Americans from bidding too high as they know the crowds will be against them from day 1.

It will be easier for the Blue Knights to sell this route than it would be for the Americans.

The goodwill and trading rights (including strips etc) are the most important asset. The history is included in this.

After that, Ibrox, Murray Park, then the squad.
