Very sad week with the loss of a valued poster. Overshadows any pretence that this league is of much value, but it needs to be kept up, so here I am. Was wondering about renaming the league as a commemoration. Any views on this? Aware it could come across as mawkish, but if not, happy to do so. On a happier note, good to see evidence of @"Thanks for that Brian" logging in - haven't seen any actually posts yet, but good to see you here again if you see this. One small change, as we are down to 21 players this year, will keep to 2 leagues. Seems unfair to have one player (usually @No Kane No Gain) in their own league. In the league, a big well done to @PleaseNotPoll for a commanding performance this week taking him to joint top of the league with Lawro. A shout out (because it's rare to be able to mention him) to second place @remembercolinlee Next fixtures Round 10 27.11. 20:00 Crystal Palace Newcastle 28.11. first game 12:30 Brighton Liverpool Man City Burnley Everton Leeds West Brom Sheff Utd 29.11. first game 14:00 Southampton Man Utd Chelsea Tottenham Arsenal Wolves 30.11. first game 17:30 Leicester Fulham West Ham Aston Villa
Something very poetic about us being top the week we found out about Stokenchurch...hope he enjoys it as he looks down on his family and friends.
Glenn Hoddle/Stokenchurch league would be a nice tribute Two leagues is definitely a good idea as I’m awful at the game this season.

I've had a bad run of luck health wise. A relatively routine operation resulted in me getting a very persistent post-operative infection and ultimately, I got pneumonia, which is no fun whatsoever and took me a couple of months to get over. As I was showing signs of recovering, one of my brothers had a massive stroke and between the two, I've become very detached from what was normal life. I've been spending a lot of time with him, helping him to learn to talk again. Thankfully, we're both on the road to recovery but normal life is something that I've got to re-enter I'm very glad to be back here, as we're very much a family, I just wish it wasn't to hear of the loss of Rocky...I'm at a total loss as to what to say to his daughter. Thanks for caring - it means a lot to me
Sorry to read all that, but glad though that you are both on the mend now, and pleased to see you back amongst us.
It's good you are back if only that certain posters can stop posting punk on the music thread to lure you back. You know who you are.
You must realize that my return isn't going to see a reduction in the amount of punk that gets posted...?
