Crespo was good very good, but if it was not for his career ending injury, he may well of been a legend.
Back in the day Paul Elliot was a fine defender and also a very good ball player, seem to remember a certain incident with Dean Saunders that effectively ended the poor mans career. Was deemed an accident at the time but the more you see it, it looks deliberate. Don't recall Saunders ever explaining his actions or even denying what seemed to be a "Roy Keane" moment.
Not to be pedantic, but a lot of the players you listed originally do not meet your own criteria. Lebeouf was rarely on the whole criticised, he was a fan favourite for the most part and the only slight knock on him was that he was said to be a bit soft for a cb. Ivanovic was idolised at chelsea and the only time he got criticism was rightly so, in his last year, where he was diabolical. I would definitely not have that last year Ivan in our team now. Cudicini? Never. Babayaro, rarely. Flo never? Only ones you have a case for are Bosingwa and Mikel, i'd probably have Bos as a squad player and that's it.
I think you should look back at some of the posts on here the very people I mentioned were criticised heavily at some point.
Most were pre this website though surely? stick by what I said though tbf, on the most part the ones you listed were not only liked but adored, at the bridge atleast. Lebeouf is probably more liked than desailly. Cudicini was never disliked while at chelsea as far as I can remember mate. Infact I thought he was the best keeper in the league before Cech came.
You are right on the pre this web site but it existed as 606 run by the BBC beforehand The" Not 606" is a parody of that. I did not say I disliked any of them read my OP again, and actually loved them after all they were Chelsea players. You hang around here a while longer even Hazard gets criticism they all do except Kante.
