I always wondered if Emmerdale Farm was some sort of pun on the French word, i.e. a farm covered in ****, maybe one of the brainboxes on here might know!
Well all things considered we are not doing too bad are we for being such a rubbish squad of players. I mean where would Hull City be if we had any quality in the squad ? PL maybe ?? Just to show how little at least one of our fans knows or pay attention to. Just after half time one shouted for Steve Bruce to bring on Abel Hernandez. Now that would have been a great trick if he had managed that one.
There's always too much of 'hes not good enough' based on nothing much at all from our fans, I think half of them can't remember some of the utter donkeys that used to play for us years ago. You are right the manager isn't generally going to pick a player that can't do a job.
This is an interesting thread IMO because it highlights the fact that we have extraordinary quality in our squad almost to a man this year. While we can argue about Huddlestone's impact on our performances, the fact that we can even consider that a player of his quality and technical proficiency should be sitting on our bench in the Championship no less is a quite remarkable commentary on what an outstanding squad we have. I cant remember a time when I have felt more comfortable that whatever eleven players and subs Bruce uses in any given game is better than, or at least as good as, any other Championship team we will be playing against this year. as we saw last year, a spate of injuries can always alter our situation. However absent that, or a loss of key players in the January windowI am increasingly confident that we'll recover our place in the top flight this year. And the return of Snodgrass and the availability of Diomande by year end can only improve our prospects.
You still spouting that bollocks? He's made 3 or 4 more clangers even since you started saying this whenever he's mentioned...
