That's only about 5 or 6 miles from where I live. Are you often over this way?

Indeed. I thought you were up past Newcastle for some reason. I'm very rarely in Durham these days, my house just sits there collecting dust. Do you fancy a pint sometime when I'm back?

That part of the river looks great like the upper reaches of the Thames

    Pretty cool that

Weren't the Pyramids covered in a substance that made them reflect back light when they were built ?

    Sure I read that somewhere.

    Limestone I think

Those markings are there because they were discarded stones supposedly meant for elsewhere.

    Would make sense.

I painted the inside of my house in limestone paint. When it dries the crystaline particles reflect back light, so it essentially brightens up the room.

Easy to make too, powdered lime, water and some PVA glue <ok>

It won't last bro. Give it 3000 years.

Interesting it's that easy to make <ok>

It actually starts to flake off after a couple of years, so it's a bit of a labour of love.

My house is made of granite, so it looks nice to have lime pained blocks.

But it's a bit like painting the Forth Bridge. Good job it's cheap and easy to make.
