What - sign an absolute mentalist who will destroy any sprit they had? I wouldnt sign Osvaldo if he was free, never mind £15m. Roma fans are turning cartwheels today.
I'm glad huddlestone and livermore didn't start They've played at wembley for england and played in europe but i think their confidence will have rise.n after this chelsea game, the way the team changed and improved after they came on, they're the kingpins of our midfield now and will surely get regular game time But as a team, when they came on, the team looked so much more confortable with possession, be it their actual performance or just their 'names' thud and liver brought confidence to the team Brady started to excel, he'd come to the touch line, exhange passes sith figueroa and sagbo, and cut inside, showing his potential, he was oozing confidence and a lot more to come and skinning ivanovic and winning a dangerous free kick Thuds first touch i recall was one of his 'slingshot' passes, a beautiful high paced low trajectory ball, that sagbo almost got on the end of, the team just felt so comfortable in possesion even a tad of overconfidence at times Aluko for me lacked confidence, he didn't feel to comfortable trying to beat a man but it doesn't worry me, he last kicked a ball in a competitive match in january against leyton oriet if i recall, sto be at stamford bridge is pretty daunting after a long injury lay off, he still showed great signs though and i think against norwich he'll be his more usual self Davies was great in the second half, chester was overawed at times but davies experience and leadership helped him through it, chester will improve rapidly no doubt! Plus no more stamford bridge to visit now
His first touch was to intercept a pass rather smartly. He did then ping it out wide. He has to start, no excuses. I think people are going to have to be patient with Chester. He's never played in the PL before and had one of the best forward lines in the world coming at him. He'll get better learning from experienced players like Faye and Davies. Brady was outstanding; he's certainly a far cry from the lad that first came to us on loan all those years ago. He forgot the ball at one point when he tried to be too clever, but it just shows his confidence. I think he'll be one of our best players this season. Another reason not to go down this season. But at least if we did, we'd make a **** load of money selling on these players!
Brady certainly is a changed man. The improvement since that first league game he played for us is incredible.
It's almost unbelievable how much better he has become in two years. When he came back a lot of people didn't even want him with his constant skills and poor decision making. Now he is a brilliant footballer, great pace, great feet and a brilliant attitude to cover back and help out. I can imagine that Robbie might move on from us in a season or two, especially if he keeps improving at the same rate.
I can only hope that we can grow in stature at the same rate he does. He's going to be an important player for us in the coming seasons and I think he'll tear Norwich a new arsehole.
Feared the worse when we conceded early on in the 1st half, much better in the 2nd half we should be okay if we play like we did in the 2nd half and create more chances.
Souness had it right when he said in the first half they were at Barcelona levels, but i think Man City will win the league again with a new manager who is a bit more relaxed and without the nutcases Balotelli and Tevez hovering around.
There was some prick on the Guardian match report saying how Brady had not 'progressed' since he left Man Utd, these are the sort of tools you get as fans in the top flight, probably one of those Man Utd fans living 400 miles from the ground. I thought he did great for his first match against one of the top teams in the world.
You watch them lose tonight v Newcastle! Seriously though, can't see it, for me its between them and Chelsea, Man Utd with Cleverley/Anderson/Giggs in midfield a bit lightweight even if they got away with it last season, if Van Persie gets injured thats them done for.
Cheers for all the comments about us... Seems the majority of you think we'll win it... I'm not so sure but will be interesting. I'm going next Monday to United v us which is going to be incredible. Will give us a real test and if we win... well... I'd be more confident of winning the league. As for your fans... Fair enough about the ticket prices... Weren't your club doing subsidised travel? We've had these ridiculous prices for a while now at other clubs. Arsenal charged us £62 last season!!! Anyways as I said all the best for the coming season.. See you in Hull in January!
It's becoming unbearable Kempo, a man can only take so much before he blows. Next they'll be cancelling the Xmas party...
£62 is a joke. Arsenal get all that money and do nowt with it. I can't remember the last time we did have subsidised travel. Your team is class. I think you have the upper hand of Citeh, just because you've got the manager you all want and your team is quite settled and still on a high after winning two European trophies. Good luck, except for January.
