    That could be a factor I suppose, none of us are F1 engineers and do not know what effects the damage would have on the cars handling.

    hmm from the clip it looks like Massa has dent in his left sidepod. Personally it seems to take a little stretch of the imagination to see why a dented left sidepod would mean he could not steer right on to the racing line, especially after he has just taken an near right angle turn.

    We're getting into areas of car design on handling characteristics here though which I certainly don't know much about, I can't speak for anyone else. If that is the case then we again return to weather or not Massa or Hamilton os to blame for the contact - where opinions still remain divided.

    did massa have front wing damage perhaps? That might help to explain. Its hard to see from that angle
