Loads are tbh...forest and Villa were boring to watch for me as a kid ... remember liverpool being in one or two that were boring in the 80s but the record books just say they won...agreed though...must of been poor for neutrals
Looked more like a pre-season friendly than a major cup final, I sad to my lad at half time that it was the worst CL final I had ever seen. I did it an injustice, it was the worst final of anything I have ever seen. That said, I think things conspired to make it so, both managers made emotional decisions in their starting 11 (Kane, Firmino) and the three week break from competitive football (once the season was effectively over) meant many players had lost their edge. It can't be denied that both teams played some fantastic football to get to the final and both beat some amazing teams. If this game had been played two weeks ago it may have been of very different entertainment value. As it was, I was hoping it didn't run to extra time as the MLS started on Sky at 10.00pm.
