Not in my experience. I was seen as British in Saudi and so is my sister when she visits her Arab husband's homeland or my friend when he visits his wife's family

Although they are only about 1.6% of the population at just under 22 million there are more Muslims in China than Europe's combined population at about 19 million .
Less than 4% of Europe's population.
So to an Arab 96% of Europeans will not be Muslim let alone Pakistani British Muslims.
