If you have unlimited power, unlimited compassion and a blank sheet, why would you create suffering?

A moment of :

1. Error
2. Non-compassion
3. Experimentation

All are possible, but come with serious implications.
If 1/2 holds, then you are not eternally compassionate/infallible.
If 3 holds, then you are not omniscient.

I just find my questions above to make god an implausible idea. Where we came about is interesting but isnt really something i care or dwell on.

The advance of science makes the existence of "God" less probable,
but not impossible. For humans, the big question is whether proof of the
existence of God is forever non-falsifiable, or whether in the future the
"tech" becomes available to construct the test. ironically, God revealing
itself and the extent of its powers is probably the simplest proof that will
ever exist in the universe.

All in all, it seems like a ridiculous position for am almighty creator.

I made you, and I'm going to test you to see if you believe that, and if you don't believe it, you get an eternity of torment, no matter how good a life you lived.
You missed the parts where he'd already know the answer and have determined what it would be himself.
If god's omnipotent and omniscient, then he chose every aspect of existence, as well as all of your character traits.
I don't see how free will is possible in that scenario.

Exactly.
"I made you, then decided to make you not believe in me by a) designing your personality that way and b) providing you with no tangible proof of my existence and when you die you are going to suffer for all eternity for something you had absolutely no control over muhahaha" sounds like a nice, fair guy <ok>

Gonna link one of my favourite videos again.....

I wonder if its a coincidence that likes of fry and Dawkins hold similar views, are like rabid dogs in fact, and were abused as kids and suffer from mental health issues?

What sort of god would let that happen to children?

I wasn't abused, and have no mental health issues, so how do you account for me agreeing with what Fry says in that video?

No questions until you address earlier ones lad, I noticed you disappeared rather quick when asked to answer questions instead of asking them.

Typical of atheists really, Dawkins won't discuss either as he gets his arsenal handed to him when he does

Your silence speaks volumes.

Do you think?

Science seems to be proving god imo

Yet here I am and have been discussing with various people

Where did you go when questioned?

You vanished saying you were too busy, and dodged questions by saying that there were too many, :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Ask a clear question and I'll answer, then you can have a go at the others.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Typical atheist inventing **** up

Me and bobbyd discussing seems to suggest otherwise, or are you taking the comment I made 3 days ago that I had to work so was a bit busy? But returned later on and the next day?

And the let's take it one step/question at a time was dodging?

Runs off and says why did you run off? Typical

Any time you ready to resume address the issues I raised, I must add after patiently addressing all yours

You forgot to ask the question.

What is it you want to know?
