I think most clubs with the exception of the so called top six are in the same boat.I'm afraid we're just a stepping a stone to better things , that's the order of things
That the problem for a club and others of our respective sizes , we try and compete with wages then fall out of a league the wages are then overinflated and the cycle continues , possibly the best recent example of this is Portsmouth, nice one ArryI think most clubs with the exception of the so called top six are in the same boat.
England are a joke with most of their players just like Alfie's standard. Just like Wales England have mediocre players and that stems from years and years of foreign players taking preference over British players in our clubs....The British international clubs have limited choice when choosing their best players and quite frankly most are mediocre at best and only a fraction would ever be considered for any top team....
Ever since the cap on how many foreign players a club could put out was lifted the standard of British players coming through the system has dropped alarmingly. Having watched the decline for nearly 60 years you cannot fail to see.....All 4 home nations are no more than also rans with not an ounce of a chance of ever winning anything....You only have to watch England play and they are two divisions below the top teams easily.......Germany noticed a few years ago that they were seeing the effects of foreign players effecting their national side and they did something about it and they reaped the rewards.....German sides could only play 2 or 3 foreign players at any one time and the rest must be German players.....We can field a full team of foreigners if we chose too and that is why no British international side will ever win anything again....We need to follow Germany's example....
