Isn't it just? He looked dreadful at it under MoN. But then MoN wasn't known for encouraging a passing game, don't know what he was encouraging now I think about it.

our squad is thredbare and i would prefer gus gave him a chance to adapt to his style of play and to see if he can fit in. he has never played under gus and could be moulded into a good player for us. he is strong, mobile and could be a good player for us given the chance

Potentially but where does that sort of player fit into Gus' system? The last I saw of him his passing was piss poor and there's just no room for a player like that in a team that plays how Poyet wants us to. If Gus thinks he can teach him to pass then fine by me, but I reckon we'll be doing all we can to shift him - by all accounts we've already agreed a deal to move him on at a massive loss so that indicates to me Gus doesn't rate the lad.

Of course he wants to stay, noone else will be daft enough to offer the ****er the sort of wages we're paying him!
