Hope so. Just a couple more then we might be bale to debate the club's pros & cons without certain elements always looking to start fights.

Oh and do not prentend to act like you do not like to get involved in the arguments on here. You have always been in thick of the conflicts on here. Before it was against Jayram and co, then the mods, then the Spuds and Chavs and now Arsenal87 and co.

I admit I react at times, but you and your new chums set out to wum anyone who wants to keep a positive attitude or show faith in their club.

...talking or pretence. When you were a mod, how often did you come down on the mopes. Now your are out of power you have decided to become one.

it's nothing to do with being a mod or not, a role I no longer wanted. Back then, I still had hope that we would improve with Wenger, but now all that hope is lost. Last season, we won the cup and had the perfect chance to kick on, but instead Wenger decided to not buy in two key positions and leave us in the same position as before. I am frustrated as hell, and I will use this forum,to vent that. If you want to be positive you can do that, but I will counter your points without abusing and you can do the same.

This board is madness. i expected to come on here to a happy group of fans after a very very good win and match and then i find that the match thread is closed. sanchez was so good today he must be the best around at the moment but it is a shame that mesut is not there to play in behind him. Arsenal are now fourth and looking stronger. it is a long season and chelsea will have their dip in form too.

It was a good result and good performance... But come on it was Burnley. We need to see this consistently and against better teams.

Burnley defending though. its not easy to break teams down. i think Arsenal created a lot of chances and that was impressive considering that Burnley set up to defend. i don't think any team would have brushed them aside.

A "good result and good performance" is always encouraging, whoever it is against, but I don't understand why we had to wait 70 minutes before scoring tbh. I know they had 7 or 8 players camped in their box, but even so...

There's no arguing that the Chavs have started their season in superb form and our performances have been poor in the main, yet we are still only 9 points behind them. I appreciate 9 points is no small matter, but a dip in the Chavs form, a run of wins instead of draws and who honestly knows? Another reason us Arsenal fans have for clutching on to straws of hope is that Chelsea only managed to pick up 3 points against the mighty QPR due to an iffy penalty.

A DM in January and the sleeping giant that is Rambo waking up 'could' see a very different 2nd half to the season. I still see the cup as being half full :)

Past form suggests none of that will happen though. Shearer said it last night... Besting Burnley is nothing. We've always beaten the rubbish teams. I've yet to see any evidence that we're playing the football that will challenge for the league or CL. It's just a patient wait now.

A win against any team is worth 3 points. 3 points on the tally is 3 good points. Performance seemed better, tho mostly for the last 20/30? The issue with Arsenal is points against the top teams. Currently they average 1.7 points per game. They need to average over 2 to challenge for the title. If they win their next 3 they average 2 & we can start to consider them as back in the hunt. Until they're on 2ppg they're not on title form.

Even 2ppg won't win you the title. When did anyone else win the Premier league on 76 points?

That's the bit a few seem to be struggling with. We can all see the faults, but some choose not to keep harping on about them ad infinitum.

Chelsea were fortunate to win that game. The penalty was probably just about inside the box and was a foul, but you see those sorts of shoulder to shoulder / barge each week without being given. Also QPR could have scored again with a bit better finishing. I wonder how this board would have reacted if we'd relied on a dodgy pen to scrape past QPR ? it would have been a **** flinging contest ! Not sure how the chavs have reacted to it because no ****er actually posts on their board <laugh>
