Terrible analogy... if you bought a bitcoin a month ago and sold it now you're just an idiot. You can hold on to that bitcoin and over the next year or so easily make more than your investment a month ago.

We couldn't hold onto Sanchez, he was gone whether we like it or not.

On that point - anyone who is interested in investing in Cryptocurrency, imo now is a great time to get involved. Currently a dip in the market and investors who don't actually understand what it is are getting cold feet. It may still drop a bit more but I'm certain it'll be back on the rise soon and so at the moment it's a good buy in price.

If anything, we should have got rid of him earlier. If we had the new management in place, that we have now, dealing with our transfers last summer, i suspect Sanchez would have been gone and we would have got a suitable replacement. Not having the right support staff has cost us dearly this season and we would have been in a better position this season.

Yeah investing a few years ago would have returned huge amounts on investment. Still plenty of money to be made though. Get some of the more well known ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin but also look at the lesser known smaller value coins as there is potential there for huge gains (more risky obviously).

Ripple (XRP) and IOTA are still relatively cheap, £1-2 a coin and are potential millionaire maker material.

And there's lots of other potential in the market.

Disclaimer: do your own research before investing on anyone's advice!

    Wenger on the Sanchez move:

Wenger said that the move was about far more than just money.

“Of course the financial aspect is important,” said Wenger. “He could combine both. I think he’s going to a great club and he gets a great contract, so you can understand that a professional player can combine both aspects.

“Alexis is a great guy and has always been committed. Did the negotiations go well or not well? It has never affected him and I would just like to remind you I took him to the hotel on the night before the Crystal Palace game and he was completely focused and ready to play the next day until I told him, ‘Look you can go home, the deal is over the line’. No matter how the negotiations went he was always focused on football.”

Looking at both individual talents, it is a downgrade, but in terms of team dynamics, this might be the best thing to happen to us.
With the current squad I will expect us to line up in a 4-3-3/4-5-1
    -------------------------Cech----------------------------
    --Bellerin------Koscielny-----Mustafi----Monreal
    -------Jack--------Xhaka------Mhiki------------
    -------Ozil--------Lacazette------Iwobi--------

Its a downgrade probably although Mikhgitarians best Season is arguably better than Alexis.

    Alexis 2016/2017

    30 goals /13 assists

    Mikhitarian 2015/2016
    23 goals / 32 assists

If Sanchez was being honest and he was giving 100% this Season - he is in the decline because he's been terrible since August.
Regardless he's been a great player.

On the Mikhitarian side any player who can get 32 assists <yikes> in a Season has some serious talent. Arsenal will certainly suite him better from a stylistic perpsective - I'm interested to see if he can hit that kind of form again.

You're clutching at straws. What sense is there in comparing a PL season to a Bundesliga one? Totally different leagues and totally different circumstances. 5 of those 23 goals were in preliminary qualifying rounds for the Europa League ffs.

If you're playing this game, technically his best season was 2012-13 where he got 29 goals for Shaktar.

Let's add a twist to the discussion.....

What if Mkhitaryan is the replacement for Ozil (but in the summer) and Aubameyang for Alexis. How would you guys feel then?

It is clear that people think the straight swap is a "make the best of a bad situation" (and the fault of the situation is purely down to Arsenal). How would be the feeling if we swapped: Ozil & Alexis -> Mkhitaryan & Aubameyang?

Hoping that isn’t the case, personally I think Ozil will stay, especially now that we’ve added a couple of top quality players in the wake of Sanchez’ exit. (Assuming the Aubameyang deal goes through)

I'm not convinced Ozil is signing. I think he's going to see his contract out

It depends how the two players perform. Ultimately the unknown quantity here is performance levels.

Sanchez could get back to his best - he could also continue to underperform same goes for Mikhitarian.

I think it depends on who we bring in.

It's interesting. I think potentially getting Auba and Mkhi and losing Sanchez and Ozil would be a like for like replacement. Ozil is the better playmaker but we are yet to see what Mkhi can do in the Prem, we still haven't seen the best of him i think. I think Auba's record speaks for itself and there is a high probability that he will do well in the Prem for us. So he should potentially recover the goals that we lose with Sanchez. It's all hypothetical at the moment, and the proof of the pudding is when they all start playing for us.

If Ozil goes then i can see Mkhi take that ACM/free role. But i have a feeling that Ozil might commit with all the new additions coming in. But then again, with all these crazy wage demands players are coming out with, i won't hold my breath.

All I can say is I hope Mourinho keeps publically insulting him. The more "The Crazy One" puts a fire in his belly, the better for us.
