What Logi says pretty much. From watching him on Sunday, he just looks like a fairly handy back-up winger for when Gradel or Snodgrass inevitably gets crocked by some flying challenge from Peterborough's cockiest. He'll do up front too if Paynter and McCormack can't fill in for Becchio in that lone striker role. Decent CV and a one-year deal with an option for a couple of years' extension is a no-brainer. He looked strong and dynamic with a bit of a shot on him. I guess those who watched his other friendly performances will know more about his style.
Might be Gradels long term replacement, a few matches this season and maybe an extended conract around Christmas time depending on where we are in the league and if any offers come in for Gradel assuming Bates is not going to meet his wage request.
