He cost a decent whack...he might not be decent though...only time will tell..well that's the loophole i can see in that statement

in a bit :bandit:

38 goals last season and several consecutive seasons of 20+ confines that loophole to the bin I'm afraid.

Just laying a bit of Ammo bro

On a real..if you keep Sanchez then there is something to be excited about, if you lose him..i dont think Lacazette is fit enough to lace Alexi's boots and the step will be a stagnant one in the long run.

We'll see what happens fella. Personally I think Sanchez is going to stay. But you're right we need him, Ozil and probably another signing to make this window a successful one.

A lot of money but has consistently scored plenty and at 26 is at a prime age.

Interested to see how he gets on, keep Ozil and I can see him getting plenty.

Strange he's been linked for like 3/4 years now though and Arsenal finally sign him when they drop out of CL.

I can't see Lacazette being anything other than yet another major disappointment for Arsenal.

The fact that he's joined Arsenal demonstrates a massive lack of ambition on his part.

I can only imagine that he believes he going to be the main daddy in the squad, off the back of Sanchez leaving.

Noted <ok>

Watched a bit of him on TV last year - particularly when we were in France last summer and they were showing past season league highlights on French TV ... was very impressed with his pace, movement and how cool he is as a finisher tbf ... potentially a very good signing. I see Gerard Houlier has been quoted as saying that Arsenal have signed the "next Ian Wright" ... if he's anywhere near that good then he will be a great signing .. <ok>.

You'd think they signed Lionel Messi judging by the reaction of his signing, They've signed the french Jermain Defoe.
Mate you made a video where you literally jizzed in your pants when you signed Paul Pogba. So I wouldn't go around slating anyone for getting excited over a signing.

This is true, you did **** over Pogba Matth.

Take it like a man.

Lacazette is a fine striker, he'll do well at Arsenal imo but they still need a real leader to win the big ones, they don't have one, not even close.

This is a good signing for Arsenal.

We could have done far worse ourselves and probably will, especially if we end up with Lukaku.

Or no one, which looks the favourite.

Different situation, Paul Pogba is world-class, Alexandre Lacazette isn't.

<laugh>
If you say so.
Lacazette has shown me more than Pogba has.

I disagree, Don't believe what the media tell you, Paul Pogba had a good end to the season, don't forget, This is his first pre-season for 2 years I think, He's going to dominate the premier league next season personally, I'm so happy that we've got him.

Pogba was world class at Juve, just like Robben was world class at Bayern for a few years. You have to keep earning that title and Pogba certainly hasn't done that with us. Lacazette is untested here in this league, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him raining goals in for fun.

Says the guy who links every single bullshit rumour floating around on Twitter.

Pogba did improve as the season wore on, and I think he did okay.
And there is every chance Lacazette may flop.

But Pogba is nothing to be that excited over, believe me.
Just because he has a Man Utd badge on his top, Matth, doesnt mean he is anything special
