Matt Dean @mattdeanradio Just spoken with Peter Swann. He’s confirmed interest in both Steve Cotterill and Steve McClaren as possible replacements for Graham Alexander. He says he’s yet to speak with anybody but may look at an initial short term appoint. Hasn’t ruled out movement before Fri.
Salford want to be in the league, they pay huge wages too, I'd imagine they'll walk the National League.
What happened to FC United of Manchester or whatever they were called And everyone's new favourite club hull united for that matter
FCUM are still going, they're in the National North. Hull United bombed once Waltham and Ashbee left. They're now in the Humber Premier Division One, coming up against such titans as Easington United, Brandesburton and LIV Supplies. The City's premier non-league club indeed.
Ashbee had a fall out with Waltham (I think), while Waltham himself left and then locked the team out of Dunswell Park.
McClaren has been appointed QPR manager. Difficult to understand if he knew Scunthorpe were interested.
