I have been saying that for a while now
......but looking on the less negative side ...this is a win win situation, we will get more for him under this situation, with a new longterm contract , than in a years time if he was running down his contract.

Great news - great goalkeeper and glad to have tied him down. He was one of very few positives last season. He'll probably be one of very few positives this season.
Good news.....well done to those involved in the negotiations......he wants to be here which is a good sign, plus as has been said elsewhere if another side wants to sign him they'll have to stump up some decent money.....
Now we just need to stay in this division starting with a win at brum tomorrow....
