The **** difference does that make? The French league is far worse. And we signed Drogba, Essien and Hazard from that league. Just because a league isn't as good as the PL doesn't mean there cannot be decent players in it! The Portugese league is also far worse than the PL or Serie A and loads of players from that league have come to the PL in recent years and been awesome. David Luiz, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Carvalho.
He's coming from a team that has done far better in the C.L than any English clubs in the last few years. And I can't think of that many high profile signings from Italy in the last few years. Pogba was developed in England for a start and Cuadrado played about 3 minutes of football for us. Alonso came from Italy and just won the p.l in his first season. Rip roaring success
Plus I'd much rather be buying a defender from Italy than from Spain. Or is Bonucci **** because he plays in Italy....
hold your horses.. Last decade or so - Entire Italian league is Dog S#!te. so it is easy for Juve to run with it in easy one team league. Just like Bundesliga. Whereas France, Portugal have far more competitive leagues and they produce far more better players. Imports from Germany & Italy in the last decade are flop at best. Can you name one great.. nah decent import from these 2 leagues in the last decade?
here is to guys who say I know nothing about Alex. He was understudy last season to Patrice "OT Reject" Evra, FFS!! 32M pounds will be perfect for Alex. Even a million more will be stupidity. Awful pricing will make even a decent player useless - refer to Pogba, Nando et al. Lets not forget about pundits & youtube regarding John Square. His form guide below Italy - Messi England - Mikel Italy - Messi
And you're point is? Unless we plan to go back in time and buy a player from 2015/16..... By your logic no one should go for Mbappe because albeit being amazing last year, the year before he was a youth team player. Your back must be sore Stan, all that time moving the goal posts.....
Being a back up at 17 is one thing & being a back up at 25 to a 36 year old Evra is another thing Belgian league not Bundeliga thanks for reiterating my point haven't seen a meaningful player from German league in last 10 years.
How does proving you wrong reiterate your point? Unless your point is that you're wrong. What about Vincent Kompany? And since when were Wolfsburg in the Belgian league?
Again, you are judging a player based on a season he had over a year ago when he should be judged on the player now. And by the way, Evra had a very good spell at Juve. Someone please help stan move those goal posts, his back is going to be shot....
Ok, but what does that have to do with the fact that he was signed by City from the Bundesliga and has been a quality player for them?
Absolutely nothing. Still worried about Stan's back. Put the goal posts down mate, it's not worth it.
I presume Stan would also be disappointed if we were in for Bonucci, or Llewandowski, or Aubamayeng or Muller, or Ruis or the dozens upon dozens of quality players in Germany and Italy.
