It was a heavy knock to his leg and a forceful impact when he slid in, could be bad tissue damage like an ACL tear, could be a fracture at worst

Leaves our midfield very stretched and lacking pace. B@stard.

Which is worrying because we need to get over the line and secure top 4. Can't afford to turn the Chelsea game into a CL Play off

Absolutely agree. Personally, I say go hell for leather versus Stoke for 60 minutes and hopefully get the job done. We lack squad depth so when we take off anyone of our starters, we look totally disjointed. I don't want to play 3 at the back with our lot. Look what WBA did against that system <yikes>

We just have to man up and get that stoke win.

Once we do that its a real in our hands game last day v brighton and we can take care of that easily and then HOPEFULLY have 2 weeks to recvoer for CL final.

If cheslea happen to do us a favour in the mean time so much the better.

we must remember that cheslea have 4 left and even a draw will mean 73 is the most they can get.

they go to swansea on same day we play stoke.

If we win at stoke and they only draw we are then IN CL next year. PERIOD.

Swansea are in need of a point or two. I thought last week having seen stoke winning that maybe they would be in even more need.

after this game cheslea only play huddersfield and newkie and both are IMO safe and partying.

IF we beat stoke and draw with cheslea = job done

    so

beat stoke, cheslea draw with swansea. job done
Beat stoke, draw chelsea, job done.
Beat stoke, lose chelsea, beat brighton - job done.
draw stoke, draw cheslea, beat brighton - job done
lose stoke, draw cheslea, beat birghton. job done

Overall I just want a win this saturday, mo salah hatrick. cheslea to lose 1-0 and then next wednesday a bore 0-0.

lets all move on with our lives and plan a massive part for end of may.

Poor lad, may not even be available for next season as it is a ligament injury.

Feel bad for the lad, he was really coming on. We now need a replacement for him too potentially. Midfield is a real priority this summer
