The most money they've ever received was around £1m I think (that's what I'd read somewhere, might not be right) and he was only on a rolling contract. Really won't have been much. A million will have been the absolute most I imagine
It will be the price of the remainder of his contract plus a little to help get it over the line. Essentially we've paid them compensation for the breach of contract, etc. Offering to play them in a pre-season friendly also counts as part of it.
I've absolutey no idea how much he was on at Hamilton. £100kpa? Can't be much more than that. So times it by about 3 and add a little.
Just seen he was on a rolling contract. So it will be whatever his salary was plus some more depending on how generous/desperate we were. I suspect we were prepared to offer a significant sum, but I can't see it even being quite as high as £500k.
I meant we didn't pay Adams off which I thought was obvious re the July comment but it's too confusing with all these Neils about

Oh I see , initialling them doesn't help much either i have taken to using "the new guy" which sounds like i don't know Neil's name Alex not Neil's
I suspect that as part of the acceptance of Adams' resignation there was some sort of compensation. He was basically fired after all.

I'd assume there was compensation whether monetary or just a good job who knows, even if it was money I suspect it'd be little more than his current wages until July.

Hopefully it was just a stumble and we keep on running......Saturday could have gone either way...unfortunately it went the wrong way....
Transfermarkt isn't perhaps the most reliable source, but they reckon Hamilton have received a little over £900k in transfer fees this season, which has come from 3 departures including Neil. The others left on free transfers, so that might be a ballpark figure? No idea how transfermarkt got that number though.

In terms of starting positions, if we are attacking down one side we have to make sure we are set-up at the back, because I know we have been hurt on the counter-attack this season.
“It’s about making sure we are in the right areas if the ball breaks out so we are picking it up in a good part of the pitch to launch a sustained attack.”

I saw that as well, JR. Making that top priority is certainly right. I thought Phelan was helping in that regard but it'll be interesting to see how that goes in the coming matches.
Apparently Phelan's just left. No great surprise, and better he goes now than causes issue behind the scenes.
Good to know that AN has quickly recognised what appears the main 'transition' issue that Norwich have struggled with all season.
Very interesting to see how the balance of fluent attacking with solid defending will evolve. First casualties may be our full backs, who have struggled in their defensive channels to pick up their men fast enough when we concede possession. Martin and Garrido to replace Whit's and Olsson for a while?
Read today that Villa have only scored 97 goals in 98 games under Lambert. I doubt that would please many at Carrow Rd.
