I wonder if Neil would be a player/manager for us. The other possibility is that he might bring Tony Andreu with him, a French midfielder who has scored 25 goals in 53 games for the Accies.
Yes please. I suspect it wouldn't cost a huge amount either. A couple of million is a huge wedge for a club of their stature
Thanks for clearing that up Supers. I also doubt that Neil would play as well, especially given the midfielders we already have.
Very underwhelmed and disappointed if this comes to fruition. If this goes pair shaped, and I susspect it may, McNally must then go also, this run of managers we're on has to fall at his feet.
No offence chippy but I think this is a big overreaction. Being underwhelmed and disappointed is personal preference, but I can't really see how any other realistic candidate would be anything other than underwhelming or disappointing if that's the case. And as others have said too, it's probably better being underwhelmed than overly expectant only to be even more disappointed. As for this going wrong - frankly the damage may well have already been done to our season. McNally has done too many things right to be jettisoned so quickly, despite a season or two in the Championship and a couple of bad rolls of the dice with managers. I don't like this quick to blame culture and finger pointing. Everyone makes mistakes. Of course, there comes a point when you can't allow them to keep making mistakes, but in the world of football management it's all too easy and common. I don't believe there are many others in McNally's position who could have done better.
