It's not really surprisingly they probably don't vet exactly what you're going to say & if they do is it any wonder they put that endbell n 1st Saturday, it wound everyone up to phone in without that they'd probably not got enough calls lol

Especially if it's who has really dodgy tax avoidance schemes yet managed to get a jury to find him not guilty (bet there wasn't anyone from Portsmouth on that jury lol)

Well, I think it's as good a time as any to resurrect this thread.
IMO, it certainly appears as though far from AN being 'out of his depth', he and the players are relishing the challenge of playing in the PL. It seems very much as though the game against Southampton was just a 'bad day at the office' and we are acquitting ourselves well thus far.
It will be interesting to revisit this thread at the end of next month, as we have some very tasty fixtures to overcome between now and then, starting on Saturday at Upton Park -

    26-Sep West Ham V Norwich 15:00
    03-Oct Norwich V Leicester City 15:00
    18-Oct Newcastle V Norwich 16:00
    24-Oct Norwich V West Brom 15:00
    31-Oct Man City V Norwich 15:00

I think we'll do well to get more than 6 points out of these fixtures and the game against West Brom will be interesting to say the least.

I honestly see no reason why we can't pick up as many as ten points from that lot - we can definitely beat Newcastle and Baggies, I wouldn't be surprised to see us win tomorrow as well, and at least a point against Leicester away. I'd actually be disappointed if we only picked up six points from those games as there will be much tougher ones to come (apart from City away of course, anything from that will be a massive bonus).

We're at home against Uncle Fester Tony.

I think 8 points from these games is a real possibility - both the Hammers and the Foxes are in form teams at the moment so these games will be tough but I fancy us to get at least a point from both these games and wins against the Toon and Baggies are achievable if we play like we have been recently.

I fancy us to pick up 4 points at home and 1 or 2 on our travels (Not at Citeh though!.................. unless they play in Europe before hand in which case the nut is not so uncrackable!) 5 points would be OK, 6 good and anything more and I might have to break out the dancing man!

One of them at least we'll be unlucky or play badly and on history I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were Newcastle, which would be annoying as they are definite relegation battlers from here

Yes! One of the things that increasingly bothered me about Hooton was the shrug of the shoulders, the wry smile and the pleasant demeanour - losing after having no plan b became a way of life and it increasingly sat too well on him as though nobody was bothered - with AN I suspect things might be somewhat different.
