Spot on post Cromer and I'm confident McNally and the board will feel the same way. IMO, I'd rather see us relegated, than bring in Colin etc to try and keep us up.
Hi bors, a road we have been down before many times, to quote Private Jones "Don't panic." Not having experience of the PL, AN is having to adjust to the standard of this league. The board have backed him financially, just have to be patience and let the new players also adjust. I feel sure if the worst does come, our country cousins will welcome us with open arms to Portland Road !!! OTBC
Serious question are you enjoying this season battling relegation in the Prem more than you enjoyed last season fighting for promotion?
I can only say it's more "entertaining" than fluctuating between the upper and lower reaches of the championship on a perennial basis
Further my flippant (but true) comment 5 minutes ago, I'd personally rather head down the pub on Saturday evening with a 1-0 v Rotherham under my belt than a "great for the neutrals" 4-5 as with Liverpool 2 weeks ago. Three points does what it says on the tin.
Everton 2-0 up now after 88 minutes. Also, our U18's have come back from 4-1 down to lead 5-4. Makes a nice change to be on the upside of that score-line!
Damn - I gave up following at when Boro went -1 up!!!! Wonder who they'll get in the next round and if it's at home will definitely go to watch it!!! Everton won 3-0 and Newcastle players looked very dejected as they trooped off. Aberdeen beat Celtic 2-1, so now only 3 points behind!!!
Everton 3-0 Newcastle with the Toon's Lascelles sent off in extra-time. U18s won the Youth Cup match 5-4 over Boro.
Stick with AN - him and us need to take this building exercise on the chin and stop whinging and take the rough with the smooth. Admittedly a lot of rough at the moment, but let's give him the whole season so there is no conjecture about could ofs and would haves
