I work with Ipswich fans so I know what you're going through at the moment. If its any consolation, as a neutral, I'm sure you'll get out of this current mess.

As for Alex McCarthy, he'll be a terrific loanee for you. He played a lot of games for us last season when Feds was injured and he did great. If he does get a chance to play he'll prove any doubters wrong.

Good Luck for the rest of the season.

You lot are doing my swede in . We need a back up keeper . If ALB got injured you would all be screaming out saying ' why didn,t we get a spare stopper' etc. I hope Mr PJ plays ALB and just uses the new lad as back up . We are utter ****e atm but Mr PJ has had only 1 transfer window to sort us out.

Its more the fact that it's yet another short term solution, after Jewell has stated he wants players here for the long term. Looking at the bigger picture (that we have two other capable keepers and the summer to get in a long term keeper) its not such a huge issue

I have to agree with both Hanging and Sven on this. It is short term but no club in their right mind is going to let a number 1 be sold in Jan unless its for stupid money. Chances are if the keeper is playing well then the club is going to hang on to the end of the season to continue whatever battle they are in (relegation/ promotion or play off push)which is worth more than the price of selling a keeper. We dont want to be left with only two so for me its a sensible option. My only hope is that ALB is not automatically kicked out of the team because he is one of the few (actually not few just him and Cresswell) that has impressed me this season

Exactly, IF HE GOT INJURED! We have more pressing matters to deal with than bringing in a another goalie, like sorting out a whole new defence to play in front of that keeper. And what would happen if that keeper got recalled, and then ALB gets injured, we are back in the ****! I'm not saying don't get another keeper in, just make it more permanent instead of living on a knife edge all the while!

We need a back up keeper, for me Wrighty is past it.

ALB deserves to keep his place in goal, he may have been at fault for 1 of the goals on Saturday, but generally he has done well since Stockdale got recalled.
Lets face it with the amount of chances our outfield players gift to the oposition he is bound to make the odd mistake himself.

Jewell has to stick with ALB its not his fault we lose every week..!
