So after 165 posts, we've established he's not dead, everything is the Muslim's fault, Christianity is hilarious and he's definitely called Alan, not Alex!

I'm sure his Mrs that keeps appearing on Manchester radio stations would be delighted to read our joint contributions.

No because he would be in mortal danger of being eaten by a portly gentleman currently in the traditional boundary of the east riding.

    Algeria that one wasn't it?

Algeria is a country that people cannot claim asylum from in this country, the threat to life isn't deemed sufficient enough apparently, only special cases are even considered in deportation appeals.

Something like this will open the floodgates for Algerian nationals to enter the UK as refugees.

I'm actually a Christian mate but not going to get into a debate over it as there will clearly be no backing down. All I will say is that I don't see what your big problem is with believing in miracles, there are some things in life which just are inexplicable :) (not saying they're miracles but it's just as plausible as anything else :p )

As to the numbskull you responded to, the difference with Islam/Muslims and other religions, is that their Bible actually TELLS people to go out and kill non believers, and that they will have great rewards in heaven. That's not a religion of love, it's poison. Look at the countries across the world in absolute carnage because of the Islamic faith. It's bonkers.

His true description was removed by western religious fanatics, when they translated the scriptures who also removed any mention of him having female disciples or him thinking of women as equals.
They reckon there are hundreds of scriptures in the vatican archives that are hidden as they don't go along the lines of what they want their religion to say.
Much the same as what Mohammed did, he picked and chose the bits HE wanted to preach that benefited him!

As as far as I remember Jesus was described as small hunched over and dark with a large hooked nose. (Read it in a book many moons ago can't for the life of me remember what it was or who wrote it.)

Christians idea of Jesus, if they were asked to describe him.

French mountain guide in Algeria or something like that, yes mate.

I have no problem with refugees coming from places like this, where there clearly IS a threat to life. It's the millions we let in from everywhere else that annoys me...and the ones who come here to get away from their downtrodden country...yet try and bring little pieces of it with them <doh> I'm as open as anyone yet even I think our acceptance of "other cultures" goes way overboard.

The obvious things, people getting out of wheelchairs, regaining their sight, the universe. One man's belief on that is as good as another's.

I have a problem with it, because that opens the doors to people from any Islamic country in the world, and who is charged with deciding which ones are 'peaceful' and which are nutters? Nobody.

Algeria is a developed nation, a huge country that offers adequate protection. There is no threat to life in that country that you can safely say would not happen on these shores, so that's where my problem would lie. The unskilled 'asylum seeker' is not welcome on these shores for me, we are beyond breaking point and we have to think of the long term future and security of the nation as our only priority.
