Ho ho ho! Mick is a shrewd manager, he's aware if he went pass pass pass we'd be 12- 19th in this division, something our fans cannot fathom. We certainly play better footy than when you played us back then, however, judge for yourself I guess! Our tempo is SLOW though which doesn't help when we do go for a passing style of play is it doesn't move the opposition players out of position at all.

This style can work in the Championship, it certainly doesn't work in the Premier League though unless you "develop" into a Stoke.

To be honest, I think just about any style can work in this league, providing you can score enough goals.

Cardiff were slow and dull and went up
Swansea bored teams to death in midfield then broke lose to score
Norwich played well at counter-attacking

True and tbh as far as I am aware I get on very well with Ipswich fans who I've met (one is actually a pretty good mate) and the majority on here. We all like football so have that in common and plenty to talk about/tease each other. The mouthing off is because I am truly confident, but I also find the incessant, humourless and very one-sided wumming on here really tiresome and not "banter". Banter is two-way. The wumming that goes on is pretty malicious at times (see above), designed to only annoy and nothing to do with teasing, is not remotely amusing or done cleverly and, when it inevitably backfires because of the low-level intelligence results in abusive comments due to catastrophic sense of humour failure.

It's incredibly frustrating, because as strange as it might seem I really only want to get on with posters without being abused or having to dodge incessant and moronic wind-ups, so that I can enjoy a good laugh about football and, as a result, at the ridiculous things we all do and say <ok>
