Don't be naive Wizard, one bad injury to Morgan and we are FOOKED!! lol SSL shows no signs of returning soon and jury still out on Whitbread, so we DEFO need some quality cover. proactive NOT reactive is the way to go.
I think this is the whole point of this signing tbh although I also agree we need abit more fire power, which is something I´ve been saying on & off for awhile. "UTF"
Forgot to add, AB would be a top signing if NP can get him settled in quick (like Morgan) If there´s better out there than what we´ve got & we can get them then go for it, that´s the whole point.
Would just prefer rumours of strikers rather than defenders, don't get me wrong, Morgan & Baptiste would probably be better than Morgan & SSL/Whitbread as both SSL/Whitbread have made mistakes in the past. We could be tighter at the back than Scrooge before Christmas (any bonus points for a festive analogy? ) but this is just going to lead to more 0-0 draws. You never know, maybe after the new year, Vardy or Waghorn will go on a good run with Nugent still steadily scoring, but with Nige saying maybe 1 or 2 new signings, im worried that it will be a new defender and midfielder.
It looks like we might be in for Wood after all. Though your chances may just have improved at our place, due to injuries Sunderland have recalled Meyler and Fulham have recalled Stockdale, so we just lost two of our starting XI and that's on top of Bruce getting a three match ban.
Look like a lot of clubs will be in for Wood at this rate. Will Amos be in goal for you? Might be tough for him confidence wise after being unceremoniously dumped when Stockdale became available.
Millwall, Huddersfield, Brighton and yourselves already linked, so the Baggies might end up getting top dollar for him. Brucey seems to have given up on Amos(who wasn't actually terrible, but did make a couple of errors), it seems that Eldin Jakupović is going to make his City début at Derby tonight.
If you West Brom why sell him. They will probably just look at extending his loan at Milwall. I would fancy our chances against even if they was fully available. Just like you probably fancy your chances against us
He's out of contract in the summer so unless they trigger the option they have for an extra year they'll be looking to offload.
I presume Odemwingie will be off to the ACON in Jan so he may be required although they seem to have made Wood's availability very public if thats the case.
Steve Clarke has just been on the tele saying that he doesnt have to sell Chris Wood and he will only do it if he thinks it right to at the time. He said they could get some injuries and he might get a chance in their first team
Not terribly impressed with him tonight against Wolves despite his goal. Would much rather have Roger Johnson (I know we cant afford his wages).
I took my staff out for our works Christmas do, rendering me incapable of driving to Derby. A bit of a **** up to be honest, I just assumed we were playing on the Saturday when I arranged it.
How come you got moved to Friday as Sky had the other game Very unusual for 2 championship games on a friday
